Starts this Sunday, 9pm EST. Two hours. I'm excited. The writer that made Carrie a great character came back, so I'm expecting more of the good stuff.
So anyone giving this another shot? I am but at this point you have to suspend any belief on how pretty much everything in the show isn't based in any form of reality. The CIA is going to give a insane Carrie a station chief job? Get the fuck out. That and many, many more things make it a show I watch to pass the time rather than a show I am truly interested in. I keep waiting for Dana Brody and her shity acting/storyline/constant playing with her fingers to make a return.
I was ambivalent about this season, but so far I'm liking it better than last season. They're really starting to get a good mystery going and I like that they've done away with all the personal baggage from the first 3 seasons. There was a nice twist this week regarding the drone strike in episode one, and the Ambassador's husband looks like he's got problems.
I was really liking this season, there was a great twist midway through the episode, and then the end just got awkward as a fuck. Couldn't it have at least been Fara? Cripes. Here we go again...
Carrie is fucking annoying me. She better be playing the shit out of this kid for all he's worth. I don't get why they have to make this show ride so heavily on her ridiculous bad decision making skills and general psychosis.
I wanna say, Carrie did her best work when she wasn't on her meds, so these ISI fools may not realize what beast they've unleashed. But the emphasis seems to be on CRAZY, as opposed to CRAZY SMART.
I almost tossed my beer at the tv when small mouth showed up. That'd be just what this fucking show needed.
Indeed, I hope that the powers that be don't think that "we" want that to happen. Clearly what we want more of is Quinn, but the in control Quinn, bad ass secret agent with an inner sensitive side (but not one that pines for Carrie)
I'd like the 'I shoot Carrie' Quinn back. The episode was pretty damn good. I liked the Saul/Captor dialogues. I also want to see someone shove their foot up Lockhart's ass.
I believed it. Really good episode. This series has prospered for one that should have easily finished last season
That was a really intense episode. I like how quickly he coughed up that chick's name as soon as he realized how exposed they are now.
Let me say that I love this season, I like where they're going. I like how they killed Aayan, I love Tasneem's looks (sultry, hot, conniving and evil), every scene with Saul/Carrie, every scene with Quinn actually being together Quinn, and every fucking Lockhart scene ever. "What the fuck? What the fucking fuck?!" Give that man an emmy now. So...the US Embassy has a secret door that has no security what so ever? Not even a finger print identification? Just a key? Really? You guys are going to let that one go? Also, where the fuck is Javadi? The guy they spent all of last season getting into place to help with the whole political situation in Iran? That absolutely huge win? I love this show, but man, the little things that they just miss are a bit much for me. I just finally caught up, but I'm still bothered by the fighter pilot finding out about the identity of a high ranking CIA official, finding her and then confronting her about an order. Wow.
I'm with you Parker, some of the bits are outlandish, but given how much great there is in this season, I'm willing to let it go. Spoiler I'm wondering if Saul lived, and they kill off Lockhart, if Saul goes back to being Director.
