I went through a big strategy-game phase as a young teenager. Mainly Age of Empires, Civilization, Alpha Centauri, and Command and Conquer. I've moved onto bigger and better things, but once every few months I fire up the old Windows 98 system and play for eight hours straight. Nothing like destroying some castles to take your mind off of things:

Dragonball Z- This summer I downloaded the entire series and as of right now I have 21 more episodes to go (out of 291). I will close my door and turn the volume down when I have it on in my room. I have almost been caught by some of my residents several times (I'm an RA) and hide that shit like it's porn when someone knocks on my door. I also bought a Dragonball Z game for the Wii which I will hide when my friends come over.

Wicked-I know this is probably gay but I'll be damned if someone can say that is not a good musical. I have the music in a folder on my computer separate of all my other music just in case someone looks.

Any reality show that ends in "of Love"-These are some of the funniest shows I have ever seen.

I am a guy and I really enjoy advice columns like Dear Abby. I don't know why. I even read Dear Prudence online. Sometimes they are even funny, like today I found this:

I normally listen to heavy metal and early 90's grunge, so I really hate myself for liking the following:

Natalie Portman's Shaved Head. It's shitty, over-synthesized hipster music, but I'll be damned if they can't crank out some catchy tunes.

I have no excuse for this one.

I'm a sucker for sappy romantic comedies. I draw the line at Sex and the City as every character on that show makes me want to kill, but I'll watch pretty much most of them that I can find. Give me a John Cusack movie anyday.

When it comes to romantic comedies, I'm a giant vagina, sue me.

This one is really embarrassing, thank god I don't know any of you people off the interwebs. Pedicures. Holy shit! My wife convinced me to get one one day and it was fantastic. It is so worth giving some poor soul some dough to clean my nasty feet, clip my toenails, soak my feet and then massage my feet and ankles. Because I don't get any polish, they usually spend the extra time massaging my feet while my wife gets her toes painted. I've only gone a few times, but holy shit, it's awesome. If I could afford it, I'd go every time I need to clip my toenails. I'd go every week.

In response to a couple of people above me -if peeing in the shower and Final Fantasy VII made me guilty, I'm not sure life would be worth living.

Now, Into the Night by Benny Mardones being on my top 20 iTunes play count...yeah, I feel a little twinge there.

Seconded. I have been doing lessons for about 4 months, and when people ask, I always reply with some small amount of guilt. I dont know why, its fun and I get to dance with hot chicks all the time.

And again, seconded for WoW. I played for way to long (2.5 years....cringe) and everytime I admit it, I cry on the inside.

I love every single one of the Fast and the Furious movies. I know they're not good, but that doesn't stop me grinning like an idiot every time I watch one of them.
Also, Taylor Swift's "Love Story." I love that song and I have no idea why. I have admitted this to my friends and they did not ridicule me.
And like a few of you, I'm also a World of Warcraft player. I was addicted when I was like a sophomore in high school, but now I just play on and off for a few weeks/months at a time.

Cheez-Its. I can demolish a 1lb box of those damn things in about 2 hours. The White Cheddar flavor takes under an hour.

Vocal trance. I know how musically and lyrically empty it is, but it makes me feel good inside. I've been trying to be better about it lately though. Thankfully, Ella makes me feel just as good with 100% less shame.

There are two types of people in the world: Those that pee in the shower, and those that lie about it.

    FOCUS:

I love Las Vegas. I go at least four times a year, and every day enjoy watching 2 hours of the shitty, overacted, underwritten show on TNT.

I don't, however, feel guilty about staring at Nikki Cox's tits for 2 hours everyday.

A couple rehashes here with Taylor Swift and VH1/MTV reality shows. Roommates, a couple other friends and I have also gotten hooked on Degrassi, basically a new-age Saved by the Bell that's more "edgy" (not really, but can't think of a better adjective) than comedy. We've been ridiculed numerous times.

    Ketchup Chips
Whenever I buy a bag of Ketchup chips, I always have to eat a full bag, even if I just ate a large meal. I don't know why.. I just do. I always feel aweful for eating a whole bag afterwards.. but in reality I'm glad I did. Ketchup chips are popular in Canada and I've only seen them available in the US a few times (in North Dakota). My American friends make fun of me for it, but they're the best chip flavour.. ever!

    TV shows about food
Not usually cooking shows (ie Rachel Ray), but shows like Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares or Diners Drive ins and Dives

Don't need one. She has an amazing voice, is technically proficient and extremely innovative. It's like someone said earlier about John Mayer. You don't have to like his music, but you have to admit, the dude can play the ever loving shit out of a guitar.

This one, she takes a good minute or so setting up her looping, but it's amazing to watch how she builds this thing so she is doing the entire song a cappella. And when she goes into the "get me out of here" part at 3:20, it's... Well, it's just impressive.

Back in Freshman year of college I saw Howie Day in concert (probably counts for a guilty pleasure at the time). He did a ton of looping with different noises he'd make on the strings and he'd slap his guitar and loop that for percussion. It was really cool.

The above video is great, though. I don't consider that a guilty pleasure at all. Just good taste in music.

Horror movies- I can't stop watching them. I don't know what it is, but I get all bubbly when I see a trailer for one. No matter how shitty, these movies are just fucking addicting for me. Must be the thrill factor...yea that's it.

I guess this also relates to watching paranormal investigation shit on tv (haven't had the balls to go ghost hunting just yet though)

    Also- hair metal, Cardigans, baking/cooking

    Don't judge me.

This is a big one for me. My roommates know that I play, because its hard to hide it from them, but I try not to admit it to anyone else.

I get home from work at around 5:45 and I play World of Warcraft until around 10:30-11. Then at 11, I bet in bed to enjoy my even bigger guilty pleasure:

    Star Wars Novels

From the list on that wiki page, I have read 90+% of the books from the rebellion era up through the Legacy Era. They are all hidden in big stacks on the top shelf of my closet.

So many of my guilty pleasures have been mentioned - from my love of Hall & Oates to Degrassi and the Sims. I will now admit to loving (LOVING) Olivia Newton John. Also, eating giant spoonfuls of peanut butter right out of the jar. Finally, I will admit to winding down my day (most days) by watching what I call "murder TV" - shows like 48 Hours Mystery, Snapped, 20/20, Wicked Attraction, etc. It's very relaxing.

Seconded. I have dozens of Star Wars books. I am a complete and utter Star Wars geek. All of my family knows that if they have any question relating to SW, I'm their go to guy. I have a Star Wars quote at the ready in response to damn near anything. Fortunately for my social life, I usually only deliver said quote in my head. If only I knew as much about getting rich as I do about Star Wars...
