Our most successful number for our car is #22. We've outright won a TON of races, both endurance and other, with that number.

We're very superstitious, and have ALWAYS wanted that number.

In the past, another, richer, team wanted that number. Grand Am gave it to them, as they entered more cars for more races, and it was a case of you pay, you get more of what you want.

We totally understood that, so tried to get 44 (2x22).

We've had that for the past 2 years in the 24 hour race.

This year, we weren't sure if we were going to have the cash to enter, so our entry was a bit delayed. 44 was taken, so we went for 33, "halfway" between 22 and 44.

Then #22 bailed out of the entries after the early practice, and Grand Am asked if we wanted their number.

So, yeah, #44 for the past 2 years, early January testing we were #33, and then for the race we're #22.

We're all VERY happy with #22.

And thanks... 4 hours into a 24 hour race isn't even a quarter of the way done, but we're doing fairly well so far, and are very happy with how we're doing.

Was this really Hurley Haywood's last drive at Daytona?

Yep. Go to the Grand Am site and watch the video... it's a pretty big deal.
