More, beyond any shred of doubt more. As for the story itself I don't doubt Epstein had incentive to commit suicide, but given the timeline and the way it happened I don't believe it. Also, he wasn't bound for the prisons we would be going to. Had he lived it's more likely he was going to tennis courts and tv in your cell prison. Speaking of the people who were named (and I guess those who might be named) can't they still prosecute them if there's witnesses identifying them? Do they necessarily need Epstein?
Without a public trial Im thinking it dies down. A far far cry from what could have been one of the biggest trials in a century. He was the perfect villain for 24 hour news coverage and the lynch pin for the whole thing. What do they honestly have now? Unless they have concrete evidence on the list of people just released admitting to knowingly fucking underage girls, they'll all plead ignorance to their ages. My guess is the women who procured girls may get some attention but she'd plead out way before it went to trial.
What was his incentive to take himself out? For years it's been pretty well known he was involved in some creepy, shady shit. If it was actually proved in a court of law, I doubt his character or legacy would take a major hit. However, on the flip side, he could take down some major people in governments all around the globe if he opened his mouth and started talking. It's difficult for me to put myself in his shoes, but I think if I were I'd be all for crashing the party of folks that just threw me under the bus to save their own equally sorry, guilty asses. But maybe that's just me. In the end it's all going to be swept under the carpet and forgotten. If powerful people want you dead, you end up dead and no matter how suspicious it may appear, the public has a short memory and it will all be memory holed. The worthless cocksucker should've had a dead man's switch of files and videos to a reliable news source....and maybe he did. The sad thing is everyone has their price.
I'm not so sure toytoy. For now the politicians named to have been involved are democrats. Barr might be more motivated to see this through than you think. If Trump was involved he'll squash it, but for now he's tweeting conspiracy theories blaming the Clintons. There's a lot of congressman demanding investigations and answers. The scales tip when the powerful have to contend with other powerful people. I could see this story carrying on for a long time. The media is so desperate for covering scandals and conspiracy theories. Perhaps they could commit themselves to covering one that is actually important. Especially considering the subject, sex crimes, is one both they and the public has been obsessed with.
So Trump has threatened to retaliate against countries like Japan that have issued travel warnings in response to shootings in the US. Are we thinking this retaliation is going to be in the form of warnings about the seductiveness of waifus, or about kaiju attacks?
Used panty vending machines and asses filled with eels should be standard warning literature traveling to Japan.
Yes, because vehicle accidents are clearly not more of a danger to your life than shootings. I would love to see trump warn people about tentacle porn and anime.
The information hasn't been confirmed by other sources yet, but to add to the Epstein 'suicide' - https://www.apnews.com/8db7a65602a741ab9f625c2c58d1f688 I've read elsewhere that transferring the cellmate was a violation a protocol. I'm sure protocols get violated occasionally, but still... Once again, just great timing there.
I don’t know why everyone is playing detective here. This is one of the most open and shut cases of suicide since Seth Rich suddenly became depressed and shot himself in the back.
I rather wondered if he was basically told, "you're never getting out of prison, and prison is going to be hell for you. Kill yourself and we'll make sure your family is well cared for." I'm not all that into conspiracy theories, but that seems like a pretty straightforward explanation.
Seth Rich was murdered, likely during a robbery, and was never considered a suicide. His own family had to fight protracted legal battles to get right wing media to stop reporting completely unfounded conspiracy theories about his death.
But the fact that Seth Rich neither committed suicide, nor was there ever a conspiracy theory in which he did, means it doesn't work as a joke.
Not sure if serious. Given Crowns penchant for hyperbole it seems pretty clear. The exact reason you just said is exemplified with this classic meme:
The joke would be referencing Gary Webb, an investigative journalist who died from two gunshot wounds to the head in an "apparent suicide." Not Seth Rich who was just normal-murdered in a likely mugging.
I’m pretty sure he’s purposely conflating the two for comedic effect. A jab at the true believers of the #clintonbodycount. I can’t be the only one who put this together?
That scenario doesn't make sense to me because of things like having the camera malfunction at time of death. It seems like they're covering up more than they need to if it was just a suicide. Besides, if he was killing himself they would want more proof that he really did. Makes it more of an open and shut case.
