Now, now. Let’s be fair before we tighten the noose here. For instance: does the accused have at least two hit albums? Do they score lots of touchdowns? Perhaps they, as a messenger of God, thought that they alone would inherit the sin. Hell, they may have even eaten something with sugar in it. You can’t get mad right away. You haven’t even fully questioned the sexy children who seduced these unwilling, wealthy adults.

If we simply turn our backs on the heroes of society over a few simple accusations, aren’t we ALL guilty?

 

The cognitive dissonance my brain requires to be aware that Jimmy Page basically kidnapped a 14 year old sex slave while simultaneously considering Led Zeppelin the greatest band of all time and seeing Page at the Kennedy Center Honors and being like "yeah, this is culture" is absolutely immense.

I can't imagine he didn't have some kind of dead man's switch on the dirt. Otherwise why not kill him before now to get out from under him? Whatever he had, it's likely already in the hands of the feds.

 

I'm not terribly familiar with the situation beyond the general happenings of his "trial" and the fact that trump said he liked young women and now claims he doesn't know him. Who else is expected to be implicated in this? It sounds like he might have some famous friends?

 

We don't know yet, but the rumor mill is starting with "any adult male born anywhere in the world before 1990 with a net worth greater than $500K" so it's a pretty wide net to start with. More realistically Epstein deliberately ran in a circle of highly wealthy and highly influential people, and those implicated will be a smaller subset of those people, but in theory could be any of those people. This includes current and former US Presidents, Members of the British Royal Family, Canadian and UK Prime Ministers, other world leaders and dignitaries, global billionaires, Wall Street hedge fund managers and other big wigs, New York society types, etc, etc. Anyone rich enough to blackmail or influential enough to do him favors basically.

 

So basically right now the high society types are shitting themselves trying to re-remember what they did with him (and more so, to whom) and whether he kept the receipts?

I mean the pizzagate lunatics showed up armed to a pizza shop, demanding the release of children hidden in the basement, only to be told the building doesn't have a basement. Nothing that comes out of the Epstein case will ever make being that wrong, right.

 

There is a level of wealth at which normal sex, even with smokin' hot college girls, becomes mundane and boring. Once a human being reaches this point, only satanic orgies or underage slaves will slake their lust. I learned this from a documentary called Eyes Wide Shut.

 

There's an argument out there that those who are sexually aroused by underage children have a biological urge that is difficult if not impossible to control, which is what leads to them viewing child pornography and in some cases committing sexual acts with underage children. Those who subscribe to this argument -- that these sexual urges are difficult if not impossible to control without help -- will also argue in favor of therapy and rehab services for sexual predators, rather than punitive acts like jail and registering as a sex offender. They view it not as something to be punished, but rather something to be treated. They view mandatory sex offender registration to be a violation of the Eighth Amendment's prohibition of "cruel and unusual punishment."

I think this argument is largely bullshit, but people like epstein will use it. People like that shit stain do have a mental disorder. They are fucked in the head. They prey on teenagers not only because they can, but because they feel they must. I think that in order to function within free society, one must agree to abide by a certain set of rules and norms, including "don't be a fucking creep and prey on children." And if one can't abide by that, then I think they should lose their rights and be in jail. People like Epstein think otherwise. I think he made a conscious choice that should be punished in the extreme. Expect him to claim he was acting on an uncontrollable biological impulse.

Expect there to be a counterargument. Expect people to still support, or at least excuse or try to mitigate Epstein's behavior once the dust settles and everything he has ever done is laid bare. The Internet gives everyone a voice, sadly. Even the really, really dumb ones.
