Except that I constantly see conservatives use the exact same arguments against Muslim immigration in Europe and Mexican immigration in the United States, even though those two populations could not be more different once you take off your racism glasses. It gets especially ironic when they try to import the "saving Western Civilization" rhetoric from European nationalists as if Mexico isn't a country that speaks a language from Spain, practices a religion from Rome, has a legal system from France, and has a governmental organization from the United States.
And if Mexicans and European migrants voted in strong majorities for conservative ideals they’d court them like the democrats do and you’d see the left marginalize them. It’s all about power not principles.
I really never run into conservatives that have a problem with latino immigrants in general. They all want immigration regulated, but none are all out against latinos coming in. I'm sure they're out there, but "they all racist" is so much easier than having an actual debate, I suppose. I swear, the obsession with needing to be morally superior to the politcal opposition in this country is like half the cause of the how counterproductive the current environment has become.

Biden’s initial poll boost was because it was a fresh announcement and people miss him because he was Obama’s VP. Once he gets to talking and people realize he can only hide behind his old grandpa persona, he will start to drop off pretty quick, at least among young people. His whole entire approach is so completely out of touch, I’d almost call it naive.
Swalwell isn't my first choice, but I've heard him talk and I don't get the "I think the personification of impending death might be his literal running mate" vibe I get off of Biden.
