The part that amazes me is - I mean, I hate to throw out the “if they were doing this you’d be freaking out” argument, but seriously, that’s what it is. If a depresident gave a vague “we’re gonna review the Smithsonian so it aligns with the values and legacy of whatever,” talk radio would be blasting from the rooftops that it’s pure communism to change history. But this administration writes it and it’s “but he didn’t SAY he’s gonna do that!” I remember the whole “IRS is targeting conservatives” thing, and their narrative was “Obama doesn’t have to give explicit orders, because they’re all in on it and know what the playbook is!” Trump is rambling about it way more explicitly than anyone ever has, but nobody seems to care because if they don’t have access they won’t get the money.
Go on him for learning to act like these loathsome assholes right back at them. It’s time for them to get a dose of their own medicine.
