I still can't get over the fact that Navarro got into the administration because Jared Kushner did a google search for anti-China books and Navarro's book popped up.
That's more/less how any of them got into the administration. The only one who had any reasonable experience is Marco Rubio, and he's one of the oddest people imaginable, and that says a lot since he's from Florida. Blinken was kind of a doofus himself, but Rubio is just... weird. I imagine his college experience was him badgering some young coed to touch his ween while she helplessly glanced around for an exit.
When it gets better. Probably when the next Dem president is elected and fixes shit, Trump will take credit for it.
This has been the story of US politics, for me, since Clinton was in office. “Bad things are from the bad guys! Good things are from the good guys! And I’m the good guy, so what I say is good IS good!”
But both of your examples are Trump being (as usual) completely and utterly full of shit. In the first one, it was January of 2024, nearly a full year before the election and Trump being out of office a full term yet taking credit for Biden’s work. The second example is after all of his instability and incompetence tanking the economy and blaming his predecessor. Yet also wanting to be judged on his first 100 days. Can’t have it both ways. In general, I agree that lots of politicians blame the bad shit on others, but Trump is especially egregious in doing so. Especially since his behavior directly caused all the bullshit happening now .
Don’t forget to add Vance and Johnson sitting directly behind you, giving standing ovations every fifteen seconds while they passionately hug and kiss each other. What a couple of absolute sycophant gaylords.
I know, I wasn’t trying to say “everybody does it.” What I meant was, I’m not nearly as conservative as I thought I would be, after growing up in a conservative family/area. I was born in ‘84. So once I was aware of politics, it was that every good thing was “they’re just riding the Reagan wave,” every bad thing was “they have to fix the Clinton problems.”
