These "throwing my vote away" arguments don't mean a whole lot when the choice is between someone with multiple looming indictments or someone with the cognitive ability or a bowl of Jello. Nothing ever really gets better, so why should I expect it to? I won't vote for Trump, but whoever another third party or random write-in will do just fine. If that contributes to electing of the major parties by default, oh well.

The state party certainly doesn't want her to have one, no. Seniority wise she's behind the other two, and tactically she holds a district that the Democrats would have a very tough time winning without her, whereas Lee and Schiff's districts than can slot in a young Democrat really easily.
