    I am working the entire weekend, both jobs on Saturday and Monday. I suspect this will be a sober Fourth for me, aside from my bud.


    I'm so stoked though. I finally convinced Mr P to stop hoarding televisions. We had five of them, only three are worth anything. The bad thing is I had to haul those heavy motherfuckers down three flights of stairs! I should've thrown them off my deck, it would've been more satisfying.

    This weekend I'll be drinking and playing whiffleball with my buddy and his marine friends. I'm sure it will get competitive. There probably will be a few thrown bats thrown and a few choice compliments exchanged. Should be a good time.

    The Girlfriend bought a bunch of grilling meats yesterday and is picking up two cases of beer today. Our plan for the weekend? Cook and eat said meats and sit by the pool and get drunk.

    My current dilemma, though, is whether I should take a vacation day tomorrow and have Friday off, or take it Tuesday so I don't have to worry about going to bed early on the 4th.

    I get to go celebrate the 4th with the gf's family. It will consist of a similar group of activities as you. Except she don't get to drink, being all knocked up and everything, just means more for me!!

    Thank god for French companies. I have July 1st off just got paid, and interns delivered beer to my desk. I'm going to get a phsyical in 3 hours and shouldn't have drank one (supposed to be water and black coffee only) but fuck it. I only live once. It was free booze delivered to my desk:

    You can mix vodka with any flavor crystal light!

    I'm doing peach tea and vodka blended with ice, and a couple days ago I did slushies with vodka and cherry limeade. That stuff was pretty delicious.

    I just returned from buying steaks. I have a big bottle of Jerry. Other than hanging drywall tonight, tomorrow and Saturday, my weekend should be pretty awesome: My wife actually has a four day weekend. We have sparklers for the kids, and I'm going to go pick up one of those kits to have fireworks in the yard Sunday night. Then, Monday, we go to watch fireworks from here:

    Next weekend is Sailfest in New London, CT, might head down there for that, too. One of the biggest fireworks shows in New England.
