    Excellent point. Use the stuff specifically labelled "window and door" spray foam.

    I agree with Netdaddy, especially if the thermo-panes are still intact and not foggy. I have replaced many aluminum framed windows and the majority of them did not have proper insulation. Peel back the trim and do the low-expansion spray foam as suggested.
