I like to hope that they’re saying 30 days to appease the US officials and that when that time is close to being up they’re going to extend it again. And again. And again.
until we get this shit under control, anyone in the US needs to stay here. It's our administration's fault it's gotten this bad, and we're paying the price. Then a bunch of stupid people here went around and poured gasoline on the flaming dumpster fire. It's unfortunate that we all have to pay the price for the damage done by a few. Maybe if everyone serves the punishment together, then next time the smart people will more readily call out the idiots and silence their impact.
The thing is that she is a VERY highly respected clinical psychologist. I think it’s going to be an interesting read.

So... fuck the CDC. What do they know anyway? We'll let DeVos lead the charge when it comes to all things education.
It's pretty interesting so far. She's a good writer and is laying out a very detailed history of their family and the behaviors that led to the dipshittery currently afoot.
Yeah... I'm waiting for the dead tree version to show up any time, but from by all accounts it's a reasonable book and not just a straight up cash grab.
I go back and forth between preferring physical books and my kindle. I love the tactile feel and smell of the paper. But the convenience and the amount of books I can read at any one time on a kindle is hard to beat.
Meanwhile teachers in some states are being advised to write wills. What a joke this administration is.
Meanwhile in Texas, if one person in the school tests positive — ONE — the school has to be shut down for 5 days for disinfecting. Because apparently it takes that long to disinfect a school?
I'm convinced disinfecting surfaces is a dog and pony show period. This thing is spread via air. Infection via formites may happen, but it's fairly rare.
Im an executive at a preschool. With 10 schools, hundreds of students and thousands of employees we haven’t had issues because we haven’t been stupid about it. Proactive vs reactive. It is absolutely necessary and beneficial to disinfect surfaces in an exposed area, but that only works if you can determine which areas have been exposed, and to the disinfecting in conjunction with other protocols.
Yeah, I can see that especially in a preschool as small kids are messy and will do things that older kids and adults wouldn't. Don't get me wrong, I'm not against it, I just don't think it's a major mode of transmission in most situations.
The White House attack on Fauci is in full swing: https://www.usatoday.com/story/opin...-peter-navarro-editorials-debates/5439374002/
Those fuckers are actively undermining any ability to get a handle on this thing to keep their jobs. If this thing takes off, hell, even if it doesn’t, the blood is on THEIR hands, not China’s. Not at this point. And looking at the comments on our local news Facebook feed, the mouth breathers are eating it up and regurgitating it. I’m not one to wish harm to others, but if any one of those cock suckers end up sick, dead, or permanently disabled because of it, I won’t cry a tear for them.
Because pandemics are political footballs apparently god I hope they all catch Covid if for no other reason than it’ll shut them up for a few weeks
