For future reference, to get rid of skunk smell: 1 quart hydrogen peroxide 1/4 cup baking soda 1 teaspoon liquid soap MUST be mixed at the time of use. The hydrogen peroxide will break down if you store it for any amount of time. Wipe this on the sprayed areas, then rinse with water. Avoid the dog's eyes- it's pretty strong stuff. If he's hit in the face, try a douche solution- seriously, it will work. This will eliminate the skunk odor, not just mask it like tomato juice does.
A friend of mine moved to Seoul, South Korea just recently. I want to send her a house warming gift or something, I don't know, a trinket or a gift that'll make her transition a little smoother and just remind her that I'm happy for her and all that jazz. Thing is, I've never sent anyone a house warming gift, nor do I even care for them all that much. I've sent magnets before, does that count? What's a good gift to send her? Flowers? A coaster? A mug? Should I make it South Korean-esque? I live in DC, should I just be all Am'rcan and send her a shot glass with the capital on it or something? Any suggestions, go for it.
I'm looking into online investing, and was wondering if anyone here had any tips or experiences to share. I'm looking at ScottTrade as I've read some really good reviews. Anything at all that will help me make a decision would be helpful. Before anyone asks, I won't be throwing money around like crazy or trading 100 times a day.
So I posted this in the drunk thread, for whatever reason expecting a response. Here it is again for those of you who aren't drunk all the time and potentially useful and great people.
I don't know if anyone here is a math major or familiar with the sorts of companies that tend to hire math majors, but does anyone have an estimate of the perceived difference between a BS and an AB degree in math? Are they actually seen in meaningfully different lights, or is it mostly a distinction without difference?
Don't know how it compares to competitors, but I have been very pleased with ScotTrade. I use it for some small personal investments and in my investment club. Very easy to use, easy to access research data, stock screener is terrific for my feeble brain. The few times I had to call and talk with an actual broker, they have been very helpful.
I see that youubeis a little diffrent. I can't seem to find the url to help me post videos on here. can someone point it out to me? Thank You
Has anybody ever dealt with or heard of anything shady about Missionclear.net? Missionclear.net is an online advertising firm, and a representative has contacted me and wants to purchase advertising for one of their clients on my blog. Apparently they want me to post their text-based link on my blog for a year, and will then send me some money through Pay-Pal once he sees the link posted on the blog. I've corresponded with the Missionclear.net rep through e-mail, and his responses seem legit. Though I'm having difficulty finding any concrete information on the company. Their website http://www.missionclear.net leaves a little to be desired. My fears: - Could this link be full of spy-ware or a harmful virus? - Could the quality and legitimacy of my blog be compromised? He hasn't sent me the link yet. Any advice or insight would be greatly welcomed.
I'm looking for some decent, easy to use free software for making ID's. It's not for anything illegal, just as a joke for a sports league we've started at work. I've found some via Google, I just wondered if any of you good people had any recommendations. Athankyouverymuch.
I use OptionsHouse.com ... it's only $3 a trade as opposed to $8 for ScottTrade. I'v only been using it for a month, but it's pretty easy to use.
Is there anyone on here who is a registered iPhone Dev? I'd love to get my UDID on an account so I can run the 4.0 beta.
Anyone in telecom, I'm pursuing an asshole that owes me some money. It's been about 6 months since I last called him and now a lady answers and says I have the wrong number. Obviously, I don't buy it, but is there a chance he could have cancelled his number and it was reassigned to someone else?
Heading off to Indy all next week for work. Any advice on places to go, things to see during the evening would be appreciated. I've been through there, but have never spent any time there.
Yes. The numbers are generally only held anywhere from one day up until thirty days. After that, they will be reassigned. If it's a landline, you can find the info out pretty quickly online for free who owns it (unless unlisted). If it's a cell phone, then find the provider (very easy to do), explain, and tell them you do not want any personal information, you just need to verify before contacting authorities to go forward with legal action regarding a small claims issue that he is no longer the account holder, and that they cannot use that to contact him regarding the legal issue. They can tell you yes or no only. No other info, including current billing address, etc., can be released. They can find out who had it prior to this lady, or if still in his name. They will not tell you the name on the account, but they can verify yes or no ONLY if you have the name.
I'm looking for any good websites that offer good deals on last-minute, all inclusive vacations to the Dominican, Cuba and Mexico. A friend of mine and I want to go at the beginning of May and have no idea where to look/when to book. Any help is greatly appreciated.
I'm heading south in about 3 weeks time. Dominican Republic specifically. Looking to get cell service with the local carrier that supports the iPhone. Looks to be these guys: http://www.claro.com.do/. Trying to figure out how to go about getting the service with them hooked up. Any thoughts? Do they have a stand at the Punta Cana airport? Can I call them and get an english speaking rep? Does anyone have any experience with it? Thanks! Any good answers will get you some rep.
Hey guys, I'm posting this in 2 different threads because I'm not sure where it goes but... One of my roommates works in a bar and for some reason, said bar had cases of beer from 9 months- 15 months ago (past the "sell-by" date. They range from hard cider to regular beers. Is there any harm in drinking them? I was told they were never cooled (and then warmed, thereby skunking them) I don't want to turn down beer, but I also don't want to wage a jihad on my colon. Thanks.
I was in a similar situation, the taste will be different, I found the ciders did better than the beers, but I drank them all anyway - and lived. Go for it.
