The ruling out Michigan throwing out the fake elector charges is insane in my opinion. It's OK now if you truly believe what you're doing is right? Give me a break.

While we're busy pretending Jimmy Kimmel is Rosa Parks, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed a mutual defense treaty.

I’m sure that India will handle this well. At least the Saudis won’t nuke America, they don’t want to kill All the athletes and actors they now own.

Always fun when a country in my top 5 most-likely-to-pursue-nuclear-weapons list makes nice with an already-nuclear state. (for those curious: Iran, Saudi Arabia, Poland, South Korea and Taiwan)

Kooks with nukes. I already said Pakistan was the scariest country in the world fifteen years ago.

A pre-WWI defensive treaty with nukes. What could go wrong?

Apparently there might be some benefits:

It might reverse Global Warming (you know, the kind caused by all those immigrants)

    Global environmental and climate impact
The black carbon would rise into the stratosphere, where it would spread globally within weeks and cause a severe, long-lasting climatic cooling effect.
    • Global cooling: Sunlight reaching Earth's surface would decline by 20–35%, causing the global average surface temperature to drop by 2–5°C for over 10 years. In some agricultural regions, summer temperatures could drop even more dramatically.

I, for one, no longer give a shit about anything happening in the US and hope we all stop worrying about any grievances we may have.

I have long not given a shit about what is happening in the US, except for purely entertainment value.

Me and my dog and Airstream are somewhat future proof.

That's certainly putting a rosey spin on a nuclear winter.

And you'll be eating your dog within 2 weeks.

I'm less concerned that these two have an agreement, but moreso that this type of agreement exists again.

When you look at it, the shit has already been hitting the palm fronds in that region for approximately two thousand years straight, give or take. But now they can’t just kill each other with October Sky rockets and fire-kites. Now that slapstick psychopathy has been replaced by a bomb so fucking powerful that that it can etch a Japanese kid’s shadow into the sidewalk.

If Mumbai gets turned into a debris field, don’t expect Islamabad to feel the least bit Islamaguilty.

As opposed to...? I'm going to India next year for work so I have a lot to look forward to. I better not let my golden Italian skin get tanned lest I get clocked with a $100k bill at the border.

But the problem is these types of mutual guarantees are what caused WWI. I get that neither wants to get a special delivery from Tel Aviv on Ramadan, but these are how skirmishes spin into regional conflicts and then world wars.

I know Saudi has been a pretty shit country since the 70's, but I thought the new leader was somewhat trying to modernize the country and get past their history? I know they've been trying to buy up every sport and build that magic city in the desert and I don't think you do these things just to flex money? I could be completely mistaken, but I don't really follow middle east politics as it's mostly just a regional 2000 year old shit show.

They're modernizing because they realized their oil isn't going to last as long as they thought. Sure, they're doing a UAE and rolling out the red carpet for western tourists and their money, but it's still terrible for women and gays/queers. It's also why partially why SA has become a de facto ally of Israel. Plus the added bonus of neutering SA's mortal enemy: Iran.

Also their “sportswashing” of trying to buy up western sports or start their own leagues. Fuck anybody who plays with LIV golf, and fuck Gordon Ryan and all the ADCC dude-bros who pal around with the spoiled rich faggots who murder journalists.

The Saudi Investment Fund is a group of about 5 guys that represent the major investment arm of SA and are looking for any and all investments into anything and everything that might make them money.

They realize they will run out of oil money sooner rather than later and are desperate to find alternative revenue sources.

Tech companies are already investing billions into Saudi infrastructure.
