Got a really important assignment due? Boss pressuring you to make a deadline? Awesome; those things won't mean shit after someone links you to a complete time waster like http://www.addictinggames.com/cyclomaniacs.html. Few things in life are better than pointless, quick, addicting online games (except maybe porn... and beer). Here's two to start it off: Crush the Castle http://deadwhale.com/play.php?game=977 Max Damage http://deadwhale.com/play.php?game=1095
People always can tell when I am playing this game at work, as running flash in Firefox uses up just about everything my system has. My computer goes into overdrive, and becomes so loud that you would think that it is about to shoot the moon.
I predict that this place is the future of gaming. I love the "cost to the economy" counter http://cantyouseeimbusy.com/
I purchased a very similar tower defense game for my ipod for times trips. Unfortunately it does to my ipod what it does you your computer...completely taxes it. I get about 1.5 hours out of the ipod that is meant to occupy me for an entire flight.
My personal work time-wasting site is kongregate.com. Has most if not all of the games mentioned above, with badges and points for completing objectives. I've spent days on there.
MiniPutt Low score of the day is 25. Beat it. Also, when I write that down and actually have to read it, I can taste the self-loathing at the back of my throat.
http://armorgames.com/play/338/armor-picross-2 This is a puzzle/number game that I've wasted a lot of time on at work. It's hard enough to not be easy but not too hard to make you hate it.
This thread is the last thing I needed to see this morning. I spent my entire lunch break playing that damn Bloons game. This is one of my go to sites for fun time wasters: Physics games
I know I'm not actually posting a link here so mods can go ahead and delete this if necessary, but I'm looking for a specific site. A little while back on GorillaMask they posted a link to an emulator site for the original Nintendo. I know I can just download an emulator, and play the games that way, but this site had a ridiculously big archive of games, all playable directly in the browser using your keyboard. Like an idiot, I forgot to bookmark it and Googling it hasn't turned up anything. Anyone know of the site, or a similar one?
Bubble Spinner is amazing, and probably the most addicting game I've ever played. It's so relaxing you'll play for hours without realizing it. N is also great. Try it online here. When you're ready for the full game download it here. Free download.
Not a complete site, but a simple exercise to show how close you can get "eyeballing" it. http://woodgears.ca/eyeball/
Magic Pen Magic Pen II Pretty much, you have to use your creativity and a little bit of physics to draw a way for the ball to get all of the flags. These is the second most addictive games I have ever played (Bloons 3 being #1), so play at your own risk.
Sarien.net has a couple of old-school text-based games, playable in browser. Miami Shark. Shark bites people. Shark bites boat. Shark bites helicopter. Shark bites B-2 bomber. Shark bites space shuttle. Et c. Pretty much all the games on Armor Games are sweet. I'm particularly fond of this one.
You're definitely looking for http://www.virtualnes.com. They don't have as many games as they used to, though, because they apparently got sued for copyright infringement and now are forced to physically possess the game cartridge before they can host the game on the site.
