Tough to make it out. It sounded like a prepared speech about the war and using unmanned drones and then it just blurred with the background noise. I was surprised how long it went on for. You'd think security would have tackled him the fourth word out of his mouth.

Clearly, you've never seen any political speech at a university. People stand up, screaming and interrupting the speaker all the time. It's apparently the best way to get one's message about "freedom" across; by out-shouting the other person, and not giving him/her a chance to talk.

Studio shows probably have better selection, and a more stable audience, but inevitably, a few nutters will slip through the cracks.

Yeah, well a political speech in the gym of a community college has different security standards than a weekly, syndicated HBO-produced program that attracts some of the biggest political minds in the business. I wouldn't be surprised at a nutball screaming at the local counsel meeting; I WAS surprised that he got away with it for so long on Bill Maher.

Gym of a community college? Uh, try the historic lecture hall of an Ivy League school, with a security detail of over half a dozen security guards.

Sadly, this is a normal reaction at political speeches/events open to most members of the public.

Dude, you argue about EVERYTHING. Real Time isn't "open to the public" like a lecture hall is. The audience is small, in a contained area and - presumably - paying ticket holders. Whereas a security detail for a famous person would be there to protect the person, the security in the studio is to keep the peace (and quiet).

Oh, it's been awhile since I posted some artsy porn. Here ya go:

Yeah, I noted as much in my first post above...but it still doesn't keep all the crazies out. I'm not sure what you're disagreeing with in my replies.

Almost all these shows are free to attend, "Real Time" included. All you have to do is go to the website and request tickets. Apparently, it's not enough marginal cost to discourage every wacko.

I'm disagreeing with you constantly picking fights for no reason. Gravitas makes a passing comment that a guy going crazy in the audience on a popular live television show is odd and you jump in and say that he doesn't know what he's talking about and that crazies are all over the place in political rallies and not just ANY political rally but ones at historic lecture halls in Ivy League universities no less and....Jesus. It's so tiresome.

You've already red dotted me once. I give you five minutes of frantically green-dotting random others so that you can red dot me again. Let's watch my rep and see if I'm right.

    Oh, here's a good one:

I think you've had a long week, honey. I never wrote that Gravitas didn't know anything; I just made a humorous observation that at colleges, these ranting political wackos are a common thing. That's all. It's not worth writing a crazy rant over.

Ah, but it contained good advice; change your tampon, baby.

    Haha, don't flatter yourself!

See? I give up. I like how the way to go about disagreeing with me is to insult my gender and call me petnames. Stay classy.

On the upside, I switched my cable to satellite, so now I get HBO East and West, as opposed to just Central. I can watch this nutbag lose it again starting in about five minutes.

I'm liking the stark black and white tonight. And evidently photos taken in chilly rooms:

Here's a slightly more interesting topic; what type of rum do people here prefer; amber, clear, or dark? I have yet to meet a single person who prefers dark among the three.

Actually, no. I was just typing in "nude photography." Yours was a way longer phrase. This saves me the effort - I'll stop posting naked women now.

I have a 15K race in the morning. I forget: does staying up late drinking beer count as carbo loading?

In other news, I just figured out how to ignore a member.

God dammit I'm so fucking lame. After an exam this morning, I tried to rally my fellow students to a binge drinking session tonight. Everyone seemed up for it. And then I came home and fell asleep at 7 and just woke up now. Not only that, I didn't even get a enjoy dreaming of fucking Brooklyn Decker or anything...I was dreaming about being attacked by a giant catfish when I woke up.

Well, I guess I just have a glass or two of scotch and see if I can get to sleep again at some point.

I don't know how we got from Bill Maher to Dcc deciding not to post pretty pictures, but I can safely say that it is a travesty. Can't we all just get along? To atone for whatever part I may have played in it:

As previously mentioned in the rant/rave thread I quit my job today. I am starting to feel waaaay less liberated and have quickly moved on to feeling stressed and stupid as the night progresses. I have some cash saved but it will last three months tops and at my age asking for money from the folks seems really lame. In the end the job was terrible and I would never have continued to peruse it as a serious profession but somehow having no income makes all of that seem less important.

I am not much of a drinker but I feel unemployment will bring the best out of me. I am going to rummage around for booze in the fridge and hopefully drinking some will allow my brain to CALM THE FUCK DOWN. Usually I would roll a joint but that seems to be making me more sketched out and 100% not mellow.

Fact: these here girls here are gettin' on my nerves. Now I'm getting shit from a girl I had a fling with back in the beginning of the year about "taking advantage when she was drunk." Yes, multiple times with and without drinking, and mostly started by her. Ugh, I'd be fine with it and write it off as typical shit if every single girl here didn't have the same attitude of "omg i'm such hot SHIT i am so HOT everyone WANTS ME." I wish I was able to exaggerate because of anger, but it's more resignation at this point.

    At least I'm graduating soon!!!

I pose a question to errerbuddy. Spoiler becaust i'm drunk.
My roommate is 'dating' this girl, although he will never admit she's his girlfriend, ever, under any circumstance. But, I call him tonight to come pick up myself and our other roommate who are a 20 min drive away and bring us back home. Standard night, we all pick each other up whenever we call each other, no questions asked. Anywho, he starts bitching and accusing us that we are calling his 'girlfriend' to come pick us up, whom again he will never admit she is his girlfriend; and this 'girl' whom we know has a flight in the morning and would never call under any circumstance whatsoever, is the sweetest girl I've ever met and would never burden her with anything. So he starts calling me an asshole because I supposedly called her, which I didn't, to come get us and drive us back home..which never happened.

I only called him because he was the only of the three of us who was sober and could drive us home out of the influence. All i can think from that is that he was annoyed and he was lookiug for someone to blame his sober-ness on. Thought's?

and on a side note, the mexican lasagna i made a couple days ago is awesome drunk food.
