I had to post this, despite the age of the thread. In the famous tongue to pole scene there is now a super imposed black student who was never there before!! Did that make it politically correct? Will black kids watch the show now? Unbelievable.
Classic film. Probably my favorite holiday movie. Of course I love the fact that it was shot here in Cleveland, but what has been said earlier...the NOSTALGIA. The anticipation leading up to Christmas morning, the excitement of waking up and seeing all those presents under the tree, and the feeling of nervousness that hits you when you aren't sure if you got the one thing you've been dying to get. The scene where Ralphie's dad tells him to go look behind the desk and he finds the BB gun is just pitch perfect.
