I didn't watch a single episode of Sex and The City until it was over... and then I watched all six seasons in about a week. My best friend gave me 4 seasons on DVD and I went out and bought the other two myself.

Stila Lip Glaze. They have a set of 8 at Christmas every year for an incredible price so I always get at least one (this year I got 2). Only one in this year's set is one that I wouldn't wear everyday (it's red) and the others I just pull out at random. I left one at the man's house and we had the following exchange

    "I don't know where I put it"
...."Well it's my favorite, so find it"
"You have like 10 in your purse. How do you know it was your favorite if you have that many?"
...."Even if I didn't know, they are all my favorite."
Man raises his eyebrow at me...
...."And it's the Starfruit one. So there."

Office Supplies. I can literally spend hours in Office Depot or Staples looking at this shit, trying to decide what to buy. Pens, reams of paper, post-its... The best of all... paperclips.

Motorcycle gloves. I used to try and reason that I needed a glove for different conditions. When you get to where you have twelve pair there is no more reasoning.

Just remembered my biggest addiction, I have to be chewing something almost constantly, especially if I'm working on something. By far the thing I chew through most other than gum is the plastic seals inside those big juice containers. I've gone through old credit cards, plastic utensils, pop cans. If it isn't bolted down it probably isn't safe and could be fair game.

I drink an unusual amount of tea. A box each of orange pekoe, green, chai (vanilla or spiced), nettle, rooibas and earl grey are all sitting in my cupboard. I like variety.

More recently though, I've found myself on Xbox live for embarrassing amounts of time.

Music-If there is an album I like I will play the shit out of it. In the past three days I have listened to a Modest Mouse album 5 times on my computer. I also have the same cd playing in my car when i'm driving around town. I also did the same thing with another album a month ago that I'm to embarrassed to mention here. I can and will listen to an album 4 times in one day. If there is a cd where I enjoy listening to ever song I become "addicted" to it and that is pretty much all I listen to for a month or two.

Gambling-Six months ago when I was still dating my ex, we would go sometimes 4 times a week. Now I go maybe once every two months. We enabled each other and it was not good. I still get a scratch off or a mega million ticket a couple times of month but I would say I'm no longer addicted. Yes I know the odds of winning and all that jazz, rationality does not seem to matter with addiction.

Pop-I've tried to stop. I even did for a couple months last year. Once you start back up it's hard to stop again. Just recently I told myself I was going to stop but then I realized drinking captain and cokes with out coke just isn't as tasty. So I decided I would only buy and drink pop for the sole purpose of using it for my drinking habit. I now find myself drinking a pop every other day without any alcohol in it.

Edit: Call of Duty-I will play sometimes for 6 hours straight. I usually play 4-5 times a week. I use to do the same thing with halo 2 and 3 online. I am more addicted to the online play of video games than video games in general.

Edit 2: Netflix-I will have something on while i'm going to bed, trying to do homework, reading magazines, eating food or surfing the internet. This leads to becoming addicted to TV shows. As of recently LOST which really eats into my Call of Duty time.

Same, but in a different way. I'm hooked on accumulating music. I want to be an expert on every single type of music there is. If anyone out there is an expert on even one genre of music, you realize how ridiculous of a goal there is. This addiction has led to an incredibly elaborate system of music acquisition. A typical artist will go through the following progression. I'll hear about them from a friend or allmusic's "related artists" thing. I'll read about them and if I find them interesting(pretty much always do) they'll be added to my microsoft onenote notebook of artists to discover. This list is grouped by genre, and sub-listed according to when I heard about them. This list is about 2 pages long and has never shrunk to less than a page and a half in the 3 years I have been doing this. The artist will be chosen when I am in a new music mood (all the time) and in the mood for their genre. I will download a best of collection and what their consensus best album is. I will listen to both albums 3 times, and on the third run delete the songs I didn't feel. Then depending on how much I like them, I'll go down their list of albums from beginning to end. Each album is listened to 3 times, with songs deleted during the third run. Only then can I move on to the next artist. All of this process is carefully documented in my onenote notebooks.

Even though I've been doing this for 3 years, I only consider myself an expert on hip hop. I'm very close on classic rock and punk. It scared me to think about after getting through the bigger genres, tackling foreign music, or classical, or jazz. It is terrifying.

3 years ago, my music collection was about 300 songs. Now it stands at 5284 mp3s.

iphone apps- My iphone is still new to me and I can't seem to stop downloading apps. I try to stay mostly in the free section, but sometimes I just need to see what I'm missing out on. This usually ends in self-loathing with me 10 dollars poorer and 4 games I'll never play.

Any new-to-me TV show- I don't have cable, so it's hard for me to follow tv like most people seem to. Instead, I wait until someone recommends something that seems interesting enough to buy. Once I start watching a show, it becomes like crack. There was a good week where I came to work tired everyday because I just needed to see the next episode of True Blood.

Iced tea, with lemon, no sugar. I don't even drink water anymore.

Which one of you is the top, and which is the bottom?

Focus: Travel. I fly to work every monday. My job is nice enough to fly me anywhere in the US I want to go for the weekend (if I don't want to go home). I'm not very fond of the area I live in, so I only go back once or twice a month. In the last year I have been to:
    -Columbus (I live here)
    -DC (I work here)
    -Nashville
    -Memphis
    -Fort Lauderdale/ Miami
    -Louisville
    -Lexington
    -NYC
    -Boston
    -Charlotte
    -Denver
    -Steamboat Springs
    -Los Angeles
    -Boston
    -Gainesville
    -Pittsburgh
    -Chicago
    -Cleveland
    -Cincinnati
    -Dallas/ Ft. Worth
    -St. Louis
-(plus some shit holes no one cares about and several ski slopes in the east)

Almost everywhere in the states I really wanted to visit. I still need to go to the Pacific Northwest and San Diego. After I cross those off I'm ready to hit Europe. Before I got my current job I really had not been anywhere outside of east coast, and Ohio. Now if only I actually enjoyed my job, outside of travel perks.

Because of all this traveling I am also addicted to frequent flyer miles, and hotel points. I run way too many scams trying to accumulate them so I can go on more free vacations. It is sad.

Also, Today I am 9 days free of nicotene in all forms. I have been trying to quit smoking for 3 months using the lozenge. I finally manned up and kicked them. It's the second time I've quit. I plan on making it the last.

Rant: Now that my withdrawls are gone I notice the smoking didn't really make me feel bad. I just quit because of the social stigma associated with it. "Ewwww Frebis, you smell....your breath tastes like ass". It got me a break once every couple of hours, and made my alcohol buzz a lot better. Bye bye to that

Chips (crisps if you're British). As soon as I have one chip I will demolish a whole pack as quickly as possible. I used to do promo work (fuck you, the money was good and I got free food/wine/beer) and would have a stack of about 30 packs of chips in my car or room all the time. I would wake up the morning after drinking (my free beer or wine) and be covered in crumbs, have chips in and around my mouth and an empty packet in my bed.

The internet. I spend far too much time fucking around on the internet reading articles, looking at comics, playing shitty games, etc. Right now I should be at university working on my dissertation or a presentation due in next week, but I thought I would come on "just for a minute or two" and I'm still here an hour later.

Swedish Fish. I can't stop eating them if they are around. I once bought one of the giant bags from a wholesale club and made myself sick because that is all I ate for a day.

Also gambling. I don't go that much anymore because I was going to the casino once a week and sometimes twice. I love Blackjack.

I watched Battlestar Galactica, all 4 seasons within a week, also 3.5 Seasons of Dexter in about a week as well. Loved watching them with out having to wait a week between cliff hanger endings and without commercials.

I just came off my ~1month/year wasted on an FPS, this time it was Counterstrike Source. The only positive is that it didn't stop me working out.

I've uninstalled it and now I'm walking around blinking in the sunlight and trying to figure out if I still have any friends. Yeah, I've gotta stop doing that shit and stick to whiskey.

I'm with lust4life. I literally just posted that I got my e-cigarette to replace my pack a day Marlboro habit I've had since I was 13 (I'm close to 28). My caffeine addiction is also being put under control, I'm going from at least 6 cups of coffee plus coke/energy drinks, to one tops. This has not however curtailed my hunger for the Dunkin Donuts bacon, egg and cheese wake up wrap.

For $1.29 with bacon, I'll eat 2-3 of these on my way to work when I have to go to the office.

Apparently I have quite an obsessive personality, that manifests itself in a different way to things like pringles or coffee.

I get addicted to my hobbies.

That may sound retarded to somebody who doesn't know me, but consider when I was 14 and first started getting into music. My collection grew from about 100 songs to around 20gbs of data in a couple of months. When I started playing drums I could outplay anyone locally my age and even adults within 2 years and match anybody in gear or technical knowledge. Then when I got interested in learning guitar I advanced as fast as most people I know. Often to the detriment of my studies. When I started watching MMA in late '07 early '08 it took me a while to add that to my resume but when I did, I immediately signed up to the nearest reputable MMA gym and started training 5-6 days a week, and will be competing in 5 weeks. Now I've begun branching off into knowing more about the individual disciplines and spending my free-time on youtube or reading up on stuff. When you're considering holding off on University to go train in Brazil you tend to realise that perhaps you're a bit obsessive.

Luckily I'm only obsessive about stuff I enjoy, otherwise I'd be a miserable cunt.

The worst addiction I've ever had was the 3 years I played Star Wars Galaxies, a MMO similar to World of Warcraft. It consumed me constantly and I played 20-30 hours a week. I was pretty popular on my server (Valcyn server, if anyone wants to know) before I went cold turkey.

I also was (am?) addicted to Dragonball Z. Last year I found a website where I could watch all the episodes and spent every waking hour not at work watching them all. 300+ episodes I think.

I also will chew the crap of pens.
