    There's a fantastic book called Sled Driver, written by an old SR-71 pilot called Brian Shul.

    In it he recounts a rather well-known story that he calls, "The LA Speed Check".

    I just ran across a video that someone put together with him narrating that story... and it totally made my day.

    The Blackbirds were one of my uncle's favorite planes to fly. (I think he flew everything the USAF had in it's inventory during the Vietnam era.) The guy had the greatest stories if you could ever get him talking.

    Hackers got into Equifax's database and lots of names and SSNs have been released. They've set up a website so you can check if your info may have been compromised. If so you can get a free year of credit monitoring. They'll give a date to sign up but you have to remember because they won't remind you.

    If you use that website, the EULA says you are then precluded from filing any lawsuit, or joining a class action, and must be dealt with using arbitration.
