We all have or have had one, what in hell fuck do you do with a toxic friend? I think it's the selfishness and outright gall to ask things from friends they've treated like total shit that piss me off the most. If you want to be a dick then by all means but leave the others out of it.
I had a life-long friend turn fucking weird last year, and I cut it off completely; cell number blocked, removed from contacts, deleted emails, everything. Zero contact of any kind ever since. No regrets. The drama and bullshit was negatively impacting my peace of mind, so like any cancer, I cut it out. Some people will hesitate because they think life is like a Hallmark Commercial where you owe it to them and yourself to suffer through making it work out, but if you can get over the self-imposed guilt of making and following through with that decision, you'll be amazed at how much better things get, and how quickly you start wondering why you didn't do it sooner. It's like any bad relationship, you have this sunk cost fallacy going on so you stay in it way, way longer than is healthy. It also helps that I'm a cyber-bully and have no problems saying what's on my mind... I've been called blunt at times, but I tend to think of it as being more honest than anything.
I ignore and cut them out too. It works unless you have to be in physical proximity to them on a regular basis and they also have some sort of personality disorder....fun times.
Thats what you get for running a degenerate porn site. My best friend from childhood is pretty toxic. Been friends with him since kindergarten, but now we are more acquaintances that get along since we've grown apart so much over the last 10 years. I worked with a guy recently that got fired that was exactly like my friend, down to the bad habits and the mannerisms, it was scary. Anyway, my friend is either incredibly forgetful, or just doesnt give a shit. He missed my wedding rehearsal and barely made it to the dinner because he was playing Warcraft. I wish I was kidding. All his had to do was make it to the church on time and he fucked it up. And the one time I made the mistake of lending him money, to the tune of $1000, he got mad at me when I ask him to pay it back. I had overlooked things over the years, but the wedding rehearsal thing really tipped the scales and made me not give much of a shit about the relationship anymore. I still stay in contact once in a while and will meet up for a beer, but the friendship is permanently damaged. And you know the worst part? He's too oblivious to realize it.
I'm the same way in that I cut that shit out of my life, period. But to quote a text I just got after responding that she (other friend) just needs to cease all contact with said toxic friend because no good is going to come of it, "I think I need to confront her about it for some closure for me." Because that's going to go well. I am so not that way. Fuck you I'm done. Bye.
Cut out the cancer. I had a friend from grade school, who for one reason or other is p.o.s. girlfriend didn't like me. Que to him getting married and not inviting me and my fiance (now wife), we meet up at another wedding of a mutual friend and him and her keep hinting around for an invite to my wedding. Now he's divorced from the bitch, looks ten years older than me and wondered why I didn't want to rekindle a friendship with him 2 years ago. Cut out the cancer.
Closure is a weird concept. I totally get and appreciate closure when it comes to things like funerals and the loss of a loved one... you need that grieving period to come to an end, and specific actions that signal that are very healthy in helping people achieve that end. But if you're talking about a cancerous relationship... why the fuck do you need closure? Oh, that's right... you don't... you have some other internal issue that is manifesting. Odds are your friend has some overwhelming need to be right, or control issues, and that "closure" is going to be her justifying her actions and proving why she's right, on her terms. It's her way of getting in the last word out of fear of people interpreting her actions in some manner other than how she's justified it. Fucking drama, and you're doing the right thing by saying "Fuck you I'm done Bye".
I'm only posting this because of the Margot Robbie one. I don't see how wanting to lick her ass is a mean tweet. I also like hearing her say it in her accent.
The one thing that really jumped out at me, watching all those edited together . . . Russell Crowe's voice. It just cuts through, doesn't it? Like, a three-piece jazz combo is knocking out some hippie groove and then Jimmy Page grabs a Les Paul with hot humbuckers, the amp cranked to 11, and just starts ripping Whole Lotta Love.

I'm pretty guarded so if a potential friend shows signs of toxicity I fade them pretty quick. Right now I only have decent people in my life and I intend to keep it that way.* *Although I've been mulling asking how a friend's friend who, from what I've heard about her so far, may be a bit of a drama queen.
