Did you hear about this, Juice? http://www.nydailynews.com/entertai...ew-comedy-show-debut-summer-article-1.1865796
Well, at least that show will have one viewer, but I don't know how many people other than Juice are going to be interested in watching that senile old man sit in a chair and drool for thirty minutes.
I'm not saying he isn't a legend (Try and find a copy of "Why is There Air") and I've seen him do stand up, but that was in 1988.
Jello! I suspect he is smart enough to try and feature himself sparingly and try to secure a good cast around him.
Yeehaw! So, are you saying that Bo & Luke Duke should limit themselves to just the Autotrader commercial then?
You gonna take that Noland? My plane leaving is late. On the way here I was in the way back near the bathroom. But see, that's where you want to be because as the guy I was sitting next to was quick to tell me, I have a 69% chance of surviving a crash there. Whereas the further up you go, forget it. I just looked at him and asked him why he was telling me this. Oh yeah, and my daughter and her friends are sitting in the 5% survival zone. Good times.
Holy smokes a summer storm is rolling through right now and it's AMAZING. Thunder and lightning and heavy rain. This almost makes me wish we'd put in a tin roof when the roof was replaced last year.
I watched Bill Cosby's last stand-up and it was pretty funny. It's surprising how funny it is, but it IS funny.
I'll second this. It's by no stretch of the imagination "Himself" but it was quite enjoyable. And really there are some great stand ups out there who can't touch that set.
It was also fun because I could watch it with my parents and not cringe at the comedian going somewhere uncomfortable with my old ass religious parents. He's adapted and shifted to his new situation, whatever it is. The man is a comedic genius. He had an appearance on Letterman or Leno (before he left) that was awesome. This had to be in the last year, still quick wit and on point.
We have one hitting pretty hard right now. I thought it was a BRILLIANT idea to walk to work today. I should have looked at the weather forecast. El husband had to come pick my ass up because it was coming down like it meant it.
Is Thor supposed to be like the Dread Pirate Roberts where someone just takes up the mantle when the old one dies/retires? Or more like Doctor Who where the person actually morphs into a new body?
He came to my school when I was a senior in college for Parents Weekend. I went and saw him live with them and it was one of the funniest stand-up shows Ive seen and Ive caught other big acts like Lewis Black, Louis CK, Jerry Seinfeld, etc. He had zero material (or maybe just minimal material) and his entire act was his interactions with the audience and based on their responses to his questions. Something he never could have prepared. People of all ages were laughing so hard they were crying, and not a foul word was uttered or taboo topic broached. Afterwards, I went back to his dressing room and let him have his way with me. My prostate exploded like Old Faithful.
