I baked cupcakes for the office, from scratch. I can cook but because baking requires accuracy and patience, I cannot bake. My cupcakes were delicious and were met with rave reviews. It was a stupidly proud moment. What did you do that was seemingly small but still an accomplishment to you? Braid your own hair? Trim you own bush into the TiB logo? PS If anyone does the last and can prove it with pics Nett very well may mod you. Lastly, if anyone wants the recipe let me know. I may post it to the cooking thread. It's that good.
I replaced the rear drum rollers in our dryer the other day. It only took 5 minutes - then another 1.5 hours to get the new belt around the motor pulley and the tensioner without being able to actually see either, and having to jam my arm into the limited open space. It was a pain but it saved repair $, as well as extending the life of our dryer. So a small but difficult job that gave me a sense of accomplishment
I helped launch a support group on campus. No big deal just ogranizing right? I was smirking when I was at the first meeting because I was proud of myself and I knew it had potential to help people
\ CHALLENGE ACCEPTED! Kidding. But, there's a TiB logo? I thought it died when the new Forum design dropped. Can we do a thread with a logo design competition? I mean, obviously, the upper case B is two boobs turned sideways, but I'm not sure about the rest of it.
Thingiemabob? Can you please leave the scientific jargon in the technical threads? Some of us don't have our PhD, Miss Fancy Pants.
If someone carves TiB into their pubes and someone cares to look at it and verify it, I think thats enough. If they go above and beyond thats great, but not necessary
Today I chose to not trust a fart and am 99% sure I saved myself from sharting at the office. Patting myself on the back for that one. Also last night I noticed a door handle was loose so I went around the house with a screwdriver to make sure everything else was fine, very satisfying to fix annoying little things like that. I got a (free!) stainless mug from them at the convention I went to a few weeks ago. Looks like fun.
ALL HAIL THE CRIMSON KING!!!! DEATH TO THE FIRE-WITCH!!! (Why yes, I have had copious amounts of wine, why do you ask?)
