Tomorrow is the day! Who is stoked for the season? As one of the twenty existing Chargers fans I am probably doxxing myself by saying this, but the team is stacked- is it their year? Or will the Bills finally make a return to the super bowl? Is tomorrow night’s game an early showing, or will the Rams regress?
I don't like all the attention the Bills are getting. Yes, I'm excited the team is good. But it's really hard to win games in this league, there's a ton of luck involved, a lot of intangibles like how well the team gels, etc. This whole, "declare them Superbowl contenders before week 1" doesn't feel good to me. Regardless, the last few seasons have been the best and most exciting Bills teams in decades, so I'm just going to enjoy it while it's here. Superbowl or not, I enjoy the fact that they're contenders in every game.
I’m so out of touch that I made some wings last Sunday, poured a beer, turned on the tv to watch some games and was pissed to find out there was one more week to go. I still don’t understand why they’re starting so late. Anyone else feel like shortening the schedule to 3 preseason games is a mistake? It seems like no one is really ready to play the first couple of games and there are penalties and injuries left and right. Then again I’m watching the Giants and occasionally the Jets, so that may bias my view.
I think the Cowboys will be better than people expect this year. Our new returner, Turpin, is 5'7" and has some serious speed. He was the USFL MVP. Plus, Micah Parsons. I'm just excited for football though. There's a lot of very good teams, and very few bad ones (looking at you, Jets, Giants, and WFT).
It’s hard not to give the bills some love, just based on strength of schedule alone- not that things are necessarily easy, but among AFC contenders they are certainly easier. I saw the cowboys return a couple tds in person at the chargers preseason game- that man is nasty. For sure, I’d also not pay attention to when the season was starting as a giants/jets fan.
+1 for the Bills preseason hype to be too much. I've been enjoying the hell out of the "Why your team sucks" on Defector, so looking forward to kick off tonight. I just want this to be the end of Brady, for the love of fuck.
my brother watched him in person at TCU -- that is, until Turpin got kicked off the team (and blacklisted from pro football basically) for beating the shit out of his girlfriend. He is nasty, in more ways than one. Sounds like he's gonna be playing some WR too, not just gadget plays like jet sweep shit. yes please
His Oline is in bad shape and his wife is pissed off. I'd say the odds are good this is his last year.
So yeah... Bills be doing OK tonight so far as we're halfway through the 4th quarter. They look fired up.
Bills look like everyone thought they would. If Allen stays healthy they are a serious Superbowl contender.
Bills looked great and the Rams looked out of sync. Stafford looked much more indecisive than usual. I think this might be a positive for the Rams ultimately though. They can shake off the post championship kick to the teeth and wake up.
If the NFL had a transfer portal, Cam Akers would be the first one in it. Repeatedly leaving him out of series and trying to get Henderson going was painful to watch.
Stafford throwing 3 picks is going to up-fuck your game plan. That was a surprising outcome in the 2nd half, but the first was fun. Yay football!
I love the ManningCast. Definitely a more enjoyable way to watch Monday Night when I don't have a particular interest in either team.
