Red Sox walk off in the 13th, after a crazy ground-rule double keeps the Rays from playing a run. Rays fans are upset, but also benefited from the same rule back in 2019. Might be a shitty rule, but them’s the breaks.
Somehow, the Braves made it to the NLCS. Playing those pesky Dodgers again. Their pitching is pretty good. Oh, and their hitting. Let's fucking gooooooo.
Go Braves! I’m rooting for them to keep LA from earning a trip back to a TRUE World Series. min ALCS news, the Red Sox become the first team to have two grand slams in a postseason game. Which was necessary to hold the lead.
I’m pulling for Atlanta this year. I despise the shitheel Astros, and being a Yankees fan I cannot root for the Bosox or Dodgers. Atlanta is essentially my playoffs Joe Biden. Am I a fan? Not really. But they’re not those other guys.
I'll take it. The Braves need all positive energy to be found! Slogan: Atlanta Braves, we're not those other motherfuckers
I’m rooting for the Red Sox, of course, because I am a Red Sox fan. But also, because I want to fucking throw it in the face of RED SOX FANS who were calling the season an abysmal loss on the fourth fucking game of the season. This season is already a massive success, now it’s just a “Fuck Houston” thing. Braves/Sox would be great.
Braves / Sox would be great. Joc Pederson has been such a fun addition. He's a nut. Any dude that can rock a strand of pearls while chest thumping following a monster bomb homerun and saying "I'm a bad motherfucker" is indeed a bad motherfucker. https://thumbs.gfycat.com/PlayfulArtisticEasternnewt-mobile.mp4
I hate it. But, I remember the Braves had a pitcher a few years ago that did something that had an extra move like that in the set up. What I remember them saying at the time was that as long as he does it the same every pitch and comes set each time, then it's not a balk. But, if he were to do that twitch pause a second time or skip it altogether, that would be a balk.
When Nomo came into the league from Japan to pitch his deceptive wind-up looked like he was attempting a Triple-Axel. It was like something straight out of the DeadBall era.
I really hate that umpires get to work the postseason based on seniority, and not on accuracy. it wasn’t the only reason last night sucked…but it was a reason.
Does anybody do submarine any more? Even sidearm is rare, the only two subs I remember as a kid was The Quiz and Eichorn.
Tyler Rogers killed it for the Giants this year. And then there's Byung Hyum Kim from a few years back. I would've sworn he was a submariner, but compared to more recent guys with their extreme deliveries, he was just sort of a submariner.
