    Did we miss Tobe Hooper? Directed Texas Chainsaw Massacre, The Funhouse, Life Force, many horror films.

    He’s listed as the director of Poltergeist but Speilberg was the film’s real director.

    That movie was fucking whack. It cranks crazy up to “11” goes bezerk with pre-CGI special effects and creates this nasty End Of The World saga controlled by a beautiful nude space vampiress. And it constantly takes itself seriously. No wink at the camera, no satirical symbolism.

    In the same vein as ”Big Trouble In Little China” it is a one-of-a-kind fantasy movie. It needs to be experienced.
