The 2015-16 NHL season got off to a great start last night when the Minnesota Wild put those uppity punk bitch Avs in their place with a excellent 5-4 comeback victory - I may be mistaken but I think near the end of the 3rd period Roy was crying while Mcleod was more interested in finding someone to cheapshot than helping his team try to win the game.

I'm also setting the U/O for the number of posts this thread gets by the end of the 2016 NHL finals at 34.5.

I know this thread isn't getting a lot of action, but if you've read any of the story about John Scott, the fact that he's already got 2 goals before the finals is awesome. Here's hoping he gets the hat trick.

The NHL must be just hating him right now... this is the best all-star game ever.

When him and Kane drop the gloves... hilarious!

Really glad to see he won MVP too. Would've been even more awesome if he would've decked Bettman.

I know no one cares about Hockey (especially since there are no Canadian teams in the playoffs, TAKE THAT CANADIA), but the Preds-Ducks game on right now is really damn good. Lots of great goaltending, hard hits, and good scoring chances.

so I stay up to watch the entire Preds-Sharks game, and I'm in the middle of the 2nd overtime on our DVR. My fiancée tells me that she heard that it was in the 3rd OT. I'm already tired as hell so I switch over to live TV, to be greeted by the post game talking heads and all the stats on the screen. That was at 1:05 AM.

Better yet, I go back to the DVR recording to see if I can at least watch the winning goal - and our DVR cuts off right at 1:03 AM, still a tie game.

    Damnit.

Absolutely fantastic game seven between the Pens and Lightning. Pens pretty much dominated the game and had a ton of scoring chances but the Lightning managed to keep the game in hand and were battling for the tying goal until the very end of the game.

+1. The three minutes of action from right before TB tied it 1-1 to when Pens went up 2-1 were especially insane.
