Do you bitch about people using hot rods instead of Priuses in drag races too? You should see the size of the target they have to hit.

HOW DO YOU WIPE STANDING UP???

I missed this argument and discussion and am therefore utterly confused.

From the reading I've done on this subject (which is limited to this board), it's not a TRUE standing up. More like a raised ass from the toilet seat? Yes? Someone needs to post a selfie for a true understanding I think.*

    *don't do this.

Even if they have to shoot the dick off a gnat, explain to me this:

...ridiculous. I don't know how you can call that an "Olympic athlete". I'm not in any way a gun expert, but wouldn't it seem more like a competition if they maybe changed the targeting and just had to rely on skill alone?

I am no sledding expert but this does not look like a sport either.

I'm surprised its allowed in Putins olympics. Maybe people just aren't allowed to speak positively about it in front of children.

The fifth one isn't even there is it? It's not like the lights aren't working, it just doesn't exist?

The rings were snowflakes which unfolded into the rings. I guess they got it 80% right, so I give them an A for effort.

The youtube video is blurry, so I can't link it, this is hysterical:

    <a class="postlink" href="http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/russian-police-choir-performs-get-lucky-opening-ceremony?ctx=top-moments" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.nbcolympics.com/video/russia ... op-moments</a>

They are singing Get Lucky--not very well-but it's the guys in the background. The one with the mustache on the left looks like he's just happy to be onstage. There's one guy behind him that looks like he's embarrassed to be on stage, shaking his head at one point, like why am I here? One older guy looks like he's about to cry, all teary-eyed. It's kind of sad really.

I screen shotted and drew an arrow to the guy that is just happy to be there (and give me a break, I had to draw it with my right hand and I'm a lefty), which is barely noticeable, but I'm not redoing it.

You make it sound like that guy was sitting on the couch one day and decided to shoot Free Pistol in the Olympics. There are big differences between "real" guns and those target guns but it boils down to increased precision and ergonomics- not magic. The gun still isn't aiming itself at that literally gnat-sized target.

In big matches, most everyone on the firing line will have comparable equipment so it's up to the best shooter that day to win- not the gun. Even when some matches mean shooting over 100 rounds it often comes down to one shot to win or lose. They're just so good, they make it look easy.

Can we all agree that these olympics just remind us why we should hate russia? And the games haven't even really begun.

The Russian WC will be a better example of why should hate that country. Russia is very racists, so we'll see how the Russian people tolerate the African teams.

This video is one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. I just... I don't even know where to begin. The weirdly stiff uniformed officers singing how they're going to "get some"? The incredibly uncomfortable men standing stiff in the background? The slightly less uncomfortable men who are weirdly bobbing around? The fact that the video description referred to it as "rousing"? It's all just gold.

He bolted because he didn't want to be owned by a Canadian kid from Regina. He'll take the gimmie instead of a challenge.

Shaun white is a total boner, the slopestyle field was too thick and he didn't like his chances so he pulled out. Mcmorris was riding with a broken rib and still took bronze. The course needed some tweaking but despite what has been reported you'll find that a lot of athletes are saying that the course is totally fine (just huge).

Couldn't be happier with Sage taking gold though.
