    From what I read he skipped it because he wanted to be healthy for the half pipe where he is a favorite to win, if they had held the slopestyle event after the half pipe he would have done both events.

    Indeed.
    The Anschutz 1827 Fortner leaning against the chair in the third pic definitely is. Even I think the biathlon rifles look pretty goofy though, they are just very specialized. If you have ever handled a toggle style action like the Fortner or Izhmash you know how slick they are.

    I was a little worried the networks wouldn't broadcast it, but Women's biathlon is on Sunday afternoon. Perfect.

    Perfect timing. I wish I could justify spending a minimum 1 grand on a 22 rifle. I just can't. I'd like to see the biathlon attempted with a Ruger 10/22. That would be an event.

    $1000 might cover the stock. The Fortner toggle actions, made one at a time in Peter Fortner's shop and then sent to Anschutz, cost about $2500 with a barrel and trigger. The rifles on that firing line will be $3000 minimum. Fun stuff.

    They should have to do the biathalon with a rifle native to the country in which the event is being held. Can you imagine them doing the biathlon with an AK, or even better a Mosin 91/30. Ka-BOOM!

    I love watching chicks shoot my Mosin. That thing is the beastliest gun I own. I usually get about 2-3 rounds of them before they want to stop shooting for the day. Kenya would get to throw spears at the target.

    Have you seen the ridiculous shit Summer Games "target shooters" wear? Those Terminator eye patches and ridiculous cheater pistols? How can you justify yourself as a "crack shot" while not using a real gun?
