Conference media days are here: http://www.sportingnews.com/ncaa-fo...dates-schedules-sec-acc-big-12-big-ten-pac-12 I foresee another strong defensive year stymied by an unimaginative offense that can't find the endzone for my Hokies.
rumors flying around that 4 notre dame players will be kicked off the team for cheating back in 2012 including their top wr, de, and cb. supposedly they were all sleeping with a manager/trainer and she was doing their homework and writing papers. i'm not gonna jump say wins would be vacated by some, but i would love this if it comes out as true. schadenfreude like you read about.
fresno state first three games are against usc, nebraska and utah. it is realistic to think they could start 0-3 and be so beat up that they cannot compete against southern utah in week 4. fresno also graduated derek carr and their top 4 wide receivers. it could be one very long year.
so this josh shaw story from usc is absolutely ridiculous. talk about being a complete idiot. my good friend is a usc alum and rumor on the street out there is that it was a robbery gone wrong. if so, that is just mind blowingly stupid. moreso than the lie to be honest. you're a team captain and a potential top round pick, and you're gonna do something that stupid? then again, he's a former gator, so why am i surprised. criminal behavior seems to be spiked in the water in the uf football facility.
i thought the gamecock's played today, from the highlights i saw ol steve is gonna need to chew some serious ass this week. pathetic showing.
it'd be easier for me to respect the university of mn program if they actually scheduled real opponents for their non-conference games. wisconsin is playing lsu right now, while minnesota scheduled an easy victory by playing eastern illinois. i hate this tradition.
right now a buddy of mine is drunkenly ranting on fb calling sec officials vaginas because they cancelled the uf - idaho game due to severe weather. of course i'm feeding him shit and spinning him up even further...i might see the explosion from my balcony when his head explodes...god i love football season. btw, i think the officials made the right call:
If I see one more argument on college messageboards about star rankings vs some nebulous "love for the game" I may just have to become a pro fan. Is it that hard to accept that the higher ranked players simply have a higher percentage chance of being great, not that they are definitively going to be better?
What an amazing picture. Some "bro" ran out onto the field during the Ohio State game, but one of the coaches handled it. That should be a bronzed Coach Of The Year statue.
