Spring games have started in the college football world. If your like me the spring game just wets the appetite for the season which starts in a scant four months. So let's talk about it. Predictions for the upcoming season, prospects you are excited about, teams that are going to fall apart.

I for one think ND will have another good season, possibly going undefeated again. Mostly because the soft schedule they have will let them ease into the post Eifert/T'eo era. However, I would be shocked if the circumstances necessary for them to get into the championship game will happen again.

So Tommy Rees is starting at qb for Notre Dame this year. Here's hoping the ground game is strong.

You do realize that we're going to win it all right? Plus if ya'll get there, Bama will destroy that thing you call an offense.

I just want to see someone, anyone, from outside the S.E.C. win the whole damn thing.

Ohio State might have the best shot outside the SEC this year, but I've learned to have no faith in them. Their offense should be fun to watch, though.

Had Ohio State not been sanctioned last year, it would have just happened.

I'm not so sure about that one. They were good but had they not been sanctioned I think Alabama might have edged ND to get into the title game (or should have as we all know). I don't think anything changes if Alabama/OSU play. I don't think ND would have beat either though OSU could have been less painful for ND fans. You all still have my sympathy even if I did really, really, really enjoy watching that beat down.

Notre Dame was the number one going in. There might have been some voting scenarios that lead to Bama-OSU, but ND-OSU and ND-Bama both would have been much more likely. Notre Dame's schedule was significantly tougher than Ohio State's last year.

Ohio State probably would have run all over ND, but the Buckeyes had a pretty bad run defense last year. Alabama probably would have beat them, too.

This is not a case of fandom, but I don't ser any way Notre Dame wasn't in the titlr last year. Granted things broke improbably as hell to make it happen but at the end of the season OSU was the only other undefeated school with a realistic shot at the championship.

Clutch/Little guy you're both right on that. I had forgotten that ND was ranked #1 going in, probably because I didn't think they should have been (hateraid on sale here). My bad.

In hindsight it would be cool to see if OSU would have played bama any closer.

I don't even like college football that much, but even I'm getting tired of Johnny Manziel. He's a college athlete who's hanging out with celebrities and getting shitfaced? Color me shocked. Shut the fuck up already.

Hes just misunderstood. Like Justin Bieber.

    Hmm...short...marginally talented...overrated...megalomaniac.

    I can see it.

You want to be a starfucker the other 51 weeks a year, fine. But when people like the Mannings ask you to come speak to kids and you cant hold off partying for 1 week then fuck you.

And the Hesiman didnt make him a douchebag, it just made everybody notice.
