Kobe just never gives up when he hears the word "No"

I know fuck all about basketball, but I'm really not mad at Lebron or ESPN for doing this special. Pissed off or not, most of you watched it, hell even I watched it and I won't even watch the regular season. May as well line their pockets for giving the birds their crumbs.

I'll echo everyone who said there are a shit ton of players willing to play for the min in order to win a championship.

This'll be interesting, to say the least. I always respected lebron as a player, and after all this shit, unfortunately, I don't anymore. Not as a player or a person. But I will watch Miami games just to see those three run together, and I do think that with the right mix of players they could win championships for years to come.

This move has the potential to change the way the NBA does business, and the draw of the heat could have negative ramifications on smaller market teams. It could also backfire in a big way -- and not that I ever hope for an injury -- but if one of those guys goes down, it's likely over.

... ok, sorry, I can't really write more about this right now. I'm too busy laughing at cleveland fans crying in bars and burning jerseys in the streets...

Wow this really sucks. Not because Lebron went to Miami, I kinda seen that coming and I don't know how great their going to be anyways even though ESPN's forecaster predicted 35% chance of winning the ship and predicted them going 66-16, Those things are stupid. But im pissed for two reasons.

    1. Playing NBA 2k11 online is going to suck absolute balls. Playing against teams like the lakers with Kobe or the cavs with Lebron alone sucked as it was , but now with three all stars on one team everyone is going to pick them and play like faggots.

    2. I always picked D Wade with my first draft pick in fantasy.. Im really doubting im going to be able to do that now as his numbers are definitely going to go down.

I hope Lebron breaks an ankle and never wins a championship. I play hockey and watch the NHL, but come next season whoever is playing that fag in the finals I will be pulling for the other team.

    Loyalty? Never heard of it...

Lebron just stuck it to every one of his childhood friends, coaches, and the state he grew up in. On national television.

And I think it's hilarious. Cleveland is a festering boil on the asscheek of the earth. I once read that a new Corvette has an average life expectancy of roughly 4 hours in downtown Cleveland. As was previously stated, Lake Erie once caught fire. The real Browns moved to Baltimore and promptly won a Super Bowl. The Indians are garbage. The girls are all kinda ugly. Slutty, but ugly. This was the last straw in the history of shitty Cleveland sports.

What's hilarious is that the Internet basically just blew up. Twitter went down, Facebook is inundated with updates about how people I know are "Soooooo fucking pissed at LBJ. Seriously". It's funny that a basketball player who none of these people will ever know could so seriously influence their lives. I have no doubts that some of them will literally drink themselves into oblivion tonight because the team's best player just shat on them.

What are the odds Reggie Miller, Alonzo Mourning and Karl Malone all try to come out of retirement to hop on this bandwagon? If not, I'll play for the league minimum and give half of it back to them as cash under the table. I'd be good for 5 or 6 minutes a game.

Seriously, I knew he was leaving all along. If he wanted to stay in Cleveland and winning championships was the most important thing, he would have announced it immediately to attract quality players and a help the team work trades.

I was a Cavs fan long before Lebron and will continue to be a fan. Dan Gilbert will do whatever to rebuild a team. It may take a couple years, but it'll happen.

As for Lebron, I hope he realizes what he just did. As much as people hate on Cleveland/Akron, etc. it was his HOME. He was born in that area, his mom is there. His family, his friends. He was left alone there. He was revered. It was his city. He'll never have that ever again. Anywhere.

He can't go home. Make fun of Cleveland all you want, but if it was the place you grew up and loved and were not able to ever go back. That's something I don't think he realizes. St. Vincent St. Marys. He can't go there. He's the second most hated person in the city, ever.

I know a lot of you will make fun of Cleveland and that's fine. It has a lot of problems and isn't doing well as a city. But, the fans care about their teams and support their sports. He just shit all over the fans and people there.

His mom needs to leave her home. She can't be peaceful there. People will never leave her be now. Maybe they will all be happy forever and ever elsewhere, but I just really don't think he realizes what life will be like being hated like this. When a lot of players are done, a lot seem to end up back in their hometowns and where they grew up and build their lives. I know he has so much money that coming back is probably meaningless, but what if he's 40-45 years old and wants to do good things for his city he grew up in. Charities, his high school. Anything to remind him of his growing up. He burned a very very big bridge.

He kept mentioning during his conference about how Akron will always be his home, etc. but it just isn't. Again, maybe he'll be fine with that and has truly grown beyond his home and is too global, but I hope for his sake that he doesn't ever come to regret it.

I left Cleveland a long time ago, but still have many friends and family there and it will always be home. It just feels good and right whenever I'm in town. Just a comfortable place that's nice to be in from time to time. It's important to me to have that place that I know I can always go back to. That's just my feeling on this whole thing.

I'm not angry. I'm a bit shocked. I'm more sad than anything as it just went down very poorly. He didn't even call to tell the owner of the Cavs what his decision was. Dan Gilbert and the organization has done nothing but cater to his every whim. His family and friends were given royalty level treatment.

So now that Numero Uno is gone whats next for these teams?

There are so many teams with an insanely huge amount of cap space im not sure whats going to happen.

The knicks just traded away David Lee for Anthony Randolph, Kelenna Azubuike, Ronny Turiaf, and a second-round pick in 2011. This still doesn't address the fact that we need a solid guard or two especially since we lost Duhon and I cant imagine Dantoni giving toney douglas the starting position just yet. I'm really really curious as to whats going to happen now to the 5 other teams.

Luckily Lebron's mom has Delonte and his guitar case full of guns to protect her if revenge-minded Cavs fans come to fuck with her shit.

Beasley going to Minnesota, basically for free

This is incredible. Yes, he hasn't quite lived up to his billing coming out of college, but damn, the dude was the #2 pick in '08 and averaged 14.8 pts and 6.4 reb -- and is still only 21 years old. To get him for basically a second rounder (and option of swapping firsts, which should be helpful for Miami since it is fucking Minnesota) I'd say Minnesota made a pretty good move. This sets them up to deal again since they have a surplus of PFs along with Love and Jefferson.

Better than him walking for nothing. It was almost assured that Lee would be getting a big contract, and there was very little chance NY would give it to him. Getting Randolph and a couple bench players isn't a bad return for a player that was expected to be gone anyway. A frontcourt of Stoudemire, Gallinari, and Randolph could be very, very good. Not sure how Chandler fits in now, though. Will he be the starting 3 in front of Randolph? Does he back up Randolph? Play the 2? Gonna be interesting to see how those 4 guys divide minutes.

Oh yeah, I'm setting the over/under for "number of Miami Heat games that WON'T be nationally televised in 2010-11" at 2 1/2. ESPN and TNT will be hard in their pants through April from putting their games on. Except the one when Cleveland hosts Miami. That game's assured to end with Quicken Loans Arena in flames (which would be fitting, now that I think of it).

When you are given seven years with the most marketable player in the world and still have no championship it goes to say something about your franchise. Blame yourself for not getting the players to complete the puzzle and good luck getting them now with free agents shaking their heads at you and your owner. Definetly not getting that championship before him either. You will be lucky to make the playoffs before They get 3

Dan Gilbert is a total douche bag. He's like a spoiled kid who didn't get his way. I've been trying to look for more information. did LeBron keep them in the dark? Did he handle his exit poorly?

Because he does not owe the city of Cleveland or The Cav's anything. He is a basketball player. He is an exceptional one and a very popular athlete, but his business is basketball! He didn't feel he could win a championship on his present team and quite frankly I agree.

I almost ripped my TV apart watching "The decision" I couldn't believe the build up they were trying, it was embarrassing.

As a Chicago fan, and thinking about it the next day. This sucks, but doesn't burn. Boozer, Rose, Noah, and a sick defensive coach.

I read that letter from Dan Gilbert, and...well I see his point. But he can't really say shit to LeBron. He should apologize for that letter. Mike Brown. That is all I need to say. Mike Brown.

Are you fucking kidding me? Mike fucking Brown was his coach. Yes Dan, you can be mad he didn't respond to your calls or texts or notify the team, but Mike Brown. As soon as any other fucking coach was available, Avery Johnson, Byron Scott or yes even Jeff Van Gundy, Mike Brown should have been not just fired, but assassinated.

Either way, Phil and Kobe watched this whole thing eating popcorn and drawing up plays to destroy these guys. It will be interesting. Not sold on Boston, I don't think Garnett's Knees have another real year in them, they are also losing their defensive specialist coach to the Bulls. And someone was talking about Kobe not flinching listening to Chris Rock...fuck that, do you remember this? This is Kobe fucking Bryant. Doesn't even flinch.

And...the worst fucking part of all of this? Is the wait until the season actually starts. Fuck.
