Let's get the ball rolling: My roster currently: Kurt Warner (QB) Brett Favre (QB) Matt Forte (RB) Willie Parker (RB) Joseph Addai (RB) Anquan Boldin (WR) Donald Driver (WR) Derrick Mason (WR) TJ Houshmandzadeh (WR) Heath Miller (TE) Jason Witten (TE) Lawrence Tynes (K) Saints (DST) Broncos (DST) Not too please with my RBs or DSTs, trying to figure out what to do with them. Nobody in my league is trading though, so not much I can do to offload one of Warner or Favre for a better RB. Let's see everyone's rosters.
QB Matt Schaub QB David Garrard RB Matt Forte RB Chris Johnson RB Ahmad Bradshaw WR Reggie Wayne WR Donald Driver WR Terrell FORTHELOVEOFGODJUSTTRADEMEALREADY Owens WR Lance Moore WR Pierre Garcon WR Muhsin Muhammad TE Owen Daniels TE Brent Celek K David Akers DEF Giants 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF, no flex, standard scoring, 12 team head to head My RBs have been woefully disappointing with the exception of CJ's monster week 2, but I don't know who I should give up to get someone better. Now that Wayne and Driver are past their byes, my receiving core should be a little easier to pick. All I needed was >zero out of the Giants D this week to stay undefeated. Motherfuckers.
Team#1- 12 team league, no PPR, currently 5-1 and in 1st: QB Matt Ryan RB Adrian Peterson RB/WR Thomas Jones WR Reggie Wayne WR Calvin Johnson TE Owen Daniels D/ST Falcons D K Jay Feely BE Braylon Edwards BE Jonathan Stweart BE Chester Taylor BE Steve Breaston BE Leon Washington BE Cadillac Williams BE Pierre Garcon BE Donnie Avery So far, I've been doing pretty well playing defensive matchups- I stuck gold the first week with the Eagles and a few weeks back with the 49ers. Other than that, I'm pretty confident that I can go deep in this league and possibly win for the first time. Team#2- 12 team league, no PPR, currently 4-1-1 and in 2nd: QB Matt Schaub RB LT RB/WR Ronnie Brown RB/WR Kevin Smith WR Steve Smith CAR WR Anquan Boldin TE Dallas Clark D/ST Falcons K Nate Kaeding BE Darron Sproles BE Ben Roethlisberger BE Tim Hightower BE Zach Miller BE Mario Manningham BE Steve Smith NYG BE Derrick Ward I've been really fortunate with the early trade I made where I received Ronnie Brown for Vincent Jackson. As of right now, I am the top point scorer (in both leagues actually), and would be in first except for a freak tie where all I needed was for Steve Smith CAR was to score ONE FRIGGIN point. I was also lucky enough to grab both Manningham and Smith NYG from the waivers early on. If I can just get some kind of production from Smith CAR, I think i have a solid, solid team.
12 person league, .5 ppr, I'm 4-2 so far. QB: Matt Schaub RB: Chris Johnson, Ryan Grant Flex: Antonio Bryant/Nicks WR: Andre Johnson, Dwayne Bowe TE: Brent Celek D/ST: Jets K: Tynes Bench: Donald Brown, Jerome Harrison, Jamaal Charles Austin Collie, Anthony Gonzalez Not too upset with my team. In a 12 person league where everyone knows what they're doing, it's tough to get good waiver wire pickups. 2 weeks ago I traded Slaton and SimsWalker for Chris Johnson, and I still can't decide if it was a good trade or not. I really just didn't want 3 Houston Texans on my team, and Slaton was the weakest of the 3, seeing as Schaub and AJ are #1 at their respective positions. However, I definitely lost a solid flex player in SimsWalker. I'll probably dump the Jets D soon, especially with the loss of Jenkins, but they're playing the Jamarcuses this week so I'll let them ride 1 more.
10 person league, No PPR, All TDs are 6 pts, but other than that pretty standard Yahoo scoring. We start 1 QB, 3RB, 3WR, 1 TE, K, Def. QB - Matt Ryan RBs - Forte, Portis, Lynch, Cadillac, McCoy, McFadden WR - Wayne, Santonio, Manningham, Royal, Massaquoi TE - Clark, Olsen K - Kaeding Def - Chicago I'm currently 2-4 sitting in 8th place. There have been several weeks where if I would've started one guy over another, I could've won. I'm looking to make trades, but even when I make big offers, they're are getting turned down. I think its because nearly everyone in my league is 4-2, 3-3, or 2-4, so no one is willing to make major changes yet. I'd appreciate any help I can get. Would it be worth trying to trade a RB for a WR, say Lynch for DeSean Jackson? I think I could manage to get Brian Westbrook, am I wrong in thinking he's an upgrade over Portis? Thanks for the help, I'm glad this thread is back.
Team #1. 10 Team League, 0.5 PPR, Start 1 QB/3 WR/2 RB/1 TE/1 K/1 DEF, currently in 4th place (4-2) QB: Tom Brady, Joe Flacco WR: Calvin Johnson, DeSean Jackson, Derrick Mason, Mario Manningham, Lance Moore RB: Matt Forte, Ray Rice, Thomas Jones, Ahmad Bradshaw TE: Chris Cooley, Jermichael Finley K: Jay Keely DEF: Indy I think this team is decent enough to make the playoffs, but Forte is killing me. Team #2. 10 Team League, 1 PPR, Start 1 QB/3 WR/2 RB/1 TE/1 K/1 DEF, currently in 5th place (3-3) QB: Philip Rivers, Joe Flacco WR: Greg Jennings, Roddy White, Brandon Marshall, Percy Harvin, Derrick Mason, Mario Manningham RB: MJD, Marshawn Lynch, Knowshon Moreno, Laurence Maroney TE: Kellen Winslow, Todd Heap K: Jay Feely DEF: Indy I like this team a lot, except for the fact that I don't have a solid #2 back. I have too much depth in receivers. I'm thinking about dumping Jennings or Marshall.
12 team Yahoo! standard set-up. Currently 6-0 in my money league. Bye weeks this week for Housh, Sims-Walker, Knowshon, and Royal. Waiver claims in for Maroney (dropping Morris), and Lance Moore (dropping Campbell). Thinking of starting Evans, Breaston, Fitz, and Maroney at my 3 WR and Flex spot during this bye week, any advice? QB: Phillip Rivers RB: Steve Slaton RB: Pierre Thomas WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Housh, Sims-Walker TE: Kellen Winslow R/W/T: Knowshon Moreno BN: Eddie Royal, Donald Brown, Lee Evans, Steve Breaston, Jason Campbell, Sammy Morris In my other league I am 2-4 despite being second in points. QB: Jay Cutler RB: Deangelo Williams RB: Ronnie Brown WR: Larry Fitzgerald, Greg Jennings, Kevin Walter TE: Zach Miller BN: Ray fucking Rice, Mike Wallace, Donald Brown, Lesean McCoy, Austin Collie, Laurence Maroney Do I start Collie vs STL or Walter vs SF? I need to upgrade my WR3, any advice on who to try and trade? Thanks
I just noticed that both Robert Meachem and Devery Henderson are available on the waiver wire. I already have Lance Moore, but I'm not sold on which one is the best option at WR3 given the way Brees spreads the ball around. Anyone with a decent amount of knowledge of the Saints offense have a suggestion?
Yahoo -- 12 teams -- PPR .5 I've been looking to offload a RB in hopes of a better receiver. Right now I'm 3-3 but I am one of the top scorers, bad match ups so far. QB Matt Ryan WR Antonio Bryant WR Wes Welker RB Ronnie Brown TE Greg Olsen Flex Brian Westbrook Flex Frank Gore K Kris Brown D/ST Arizona Bench: Knowshon Moreno Derrick Mason Jason Campbell Mark Clayton Jamal Lewis Nate Washington
I have: Tom Brady Adrian Peterson Ray Rice Reggie Wayne Wes Welker Bernard Berrian Tony Gonzalez Jeff Reed Green Bay DEF Bench: Ryan Grant Julius Jones (I gotta drop that fuck for a WR) Nate Washington Torry Holt Matt Ryan NO DEF (Just because I wasn't sure if I should go with GB or them... I picked GB, lucky guess) Needless to say, I had a very good week this weekend with Brady and Welker. I'm 5 - 1 overall, one week Brady just sucked fucking ass (vs. the Giants).
12 team league, standard yahoo scoring except passing touchdowns count for 6 points. Should I start Eli Manning or Kurt Warner? Both have done well for me (picking starters based on matchups) and I have no idea who to play this week. Thanks in advance
I have been proposed as trades in a .5 PPR league, the rest of my roster is a few posts up: I get Steve Smith (NYG) for Ronnie Brown or I get Houshmanzadeh for Frank Gore Thoughts?
If you're not desperate for WR help, I probably wouldn't bite on either trade. Though I haven't played in a PPR league in years, so am probably not sure how much more to value WRs. I'm in two leagues: Dynasty League: 10 Team Auction QB: Peyton Manning RB: Frank Gore RB: Pierre Thomas WR: Randy Moss WR: Marques Colston WR: Hakeem Nicks TE: Kellen Winslow Defense: Baltimore Bench: Rivers, D. Mason, Moreno, McGahee, V. Davis, Hightower, Crabtree, G. Coffee 12 Team Snake QB: Kurt Warner RB: Michael Turner RB/WR: Mike Sims-Walker WR: Anquan Boldin WR: Vincent Jackson WR/TE: Santonio Holmes TE: Tony Gonzalez DP: Patrick Willis DP: Mario Williams Defense: Dallas Bench: Nicks, Garcon, F. Jones, Beanie Wells, Norwood, T. Edwards, Sproles, A. Caldwell Am 5-1 in the Dynasty Auction league, which has been running for over 5 years now. Am 4-2 in the other league. Was hoping Felix Jones or Beanie would break out, but since they haven't, have been able to fill my RB/WR flex spot with Sims-Walker and Nicks, who're both looking very solid.
Standard Yahoo scoring league: Carson Palmer (v. Chicago) or Mark Sanchez (v. Oakland)? I can't determine if the Sanchez's latest suckiness will be outweighed by Oakland's general suckiness. For WR, I can start 3: Leaning towards Randy Moss (v. TB), Percy Harvin (v. Pitt), and Braylon Edwards (v. Oak). But I could take out Percy Harvin if the injury is still nagging, particularly against Pitt and put in either P. Crayton (v. Atl), D. Hester (v. Cincy), Crabtree (v. Houston), or Chris Chambers (v. KC). God, my WR bench is shit. And the bright spot on my roster, for RB (can only have two): Thomas Jones (v. Oakland), LDT (v. KC) or Ronnie Brown (V. NO). Thinking I have to favor those Oakland and KC matchups.
Some guy in my league is interested in trading for one of my receivers. At this point I'm 5-1 in an 8 man league which makes me mainly concerned about the playoffs, so week 15 and 16 are the most important to me. I see my main weakness as RBs but am too emotionally attached to all three to know what to do. Here are both out rosters minus 7 IDPs (if we do trade I'll probably take 1 of his better ones just cause). .25 PPR; start 1QB 3WR 2RB 1TE; Bench is fixed ME ......................... HIM QB M. Shaub ........... D. Brees QB C. Palmer ........... K. Warner WR R. White ............ G. Jennings WR R. Moss ............. M. Manningham WR S. Smith (NYG) ... V. Jackson WR B. Marshall ......... J. Knox WR B. Edwards ........ S. Breaston RB M. Forte ............. F. Gore RB C. Portis ............. M. J-D RB K. Smith ............. T. Jones TE T. Gonzalez ........ K. Winslow TE O. Daniels ........... C. Cooley I'm thinking wait and see because all my guys have potential to increase in value, but that thought process had me keep McGahee pretty much all of last season. Also, this guy has a good enough team to challenge me in the playoffs if he gets in (2-4 right now). I doubt anyone would suggest it but I'm morally opposed to trading for T. Jones because I dropped him before week 1 for K. Smith.
My team looks like this: (10 team, head to head) QB-Matt Schaub WR-Roddy White WR-Brandon Marshall WR-Mario Manningham HB-Chris Johnson HB-Matt Forte TE-Brent Celek K-Nate Kaeding DEF-Baltimore Ravens BENCH WR-Roy Williams WR-Devin Hester HB-Darren Sproles HB-Fred Jackson TE-Greg Olsen DEF-New York Jets Gotta choose between Roy Williams and Devin Hester at WR and Darren Sproles and Fred Jackson at HB for this week. Any suggestions?
QB - Aaron Rodgers (I'm incredibly excited for the Packers - Browns game this weekend, for obvious reasons.) RB - Pierre Thomas RB - Cedric Benson WR - Larry FItzgerald WR - Donald Driver WR - Steve Smith (the NYG version - my favorite pickup of the year so far) TE - Brent Celek Def/ST - New York Giants K - Lawrence Tynes BENCH QB - Joe Flacco WR - Bernard Berrian WR - Santana Moss RB - Frank Gore RB - Cadillac Williams TE - Vernon Davis DEF - Broncos (Somehow they're still the #1 defense. The opposing team had Kyle Orton as their starter last week. I started the Broncos defense. I lost by three points.)
Anybody have thoughts on Matt Ryan (@Dallas) vs. Brett Favre (@Pittsburgh)? Seems like one of them has a good game each week, but I've been struggling to pick the right guy.
Matt Ryan and this isn't even close. Especially with the steelers getting Polamalu back. As for the other match up, I would go with Palmer. He's been much more consistent and Chicago's biggest weakness is their pass defense. As bad as Oakland sucks they've actually been decent against the pass. Last year they were much better than Chicago.
Two quick questions. Who would you guys start: 1.) Hakeem Nicks (Vs. ARI) or Braylon Edwards (@ OAK) 2.) Matt Schaub (Vs. SF) or Philip Rivers (@KC) it's a ten team H2H league, 1 PPR, any suggestions would help. Thanks
