The filter finally got clogged totally. Only a trickle was getting through. There's a spinny thing in the water intake that catches straw that I cleaned out, and I *think* I flushed the filter into a compost bucket correctly. My particular filter is one of 3 models in the instruction book. It only goes into detail on how to flush the models with the squeeze cranks. Mine doesn't have a crank. Water is getting through and looks clear so I think I did it. It should go back to good clarity overnight. It's been 12 days since I set it up, so I probably need to do a basic flush and maintenance every week or 10 days.
Good news is that the tile guy was consistent. The bad news is that he was consistently bad. Had the valves too far out in BOTH bathrooms. So I had to cut the tile away tonight as the plumber is coming tomorrow to move them back. Tile dude will come out later and retile everything. BTW, leaving for work at 6:45am and getting home at 9:15pm really sucks. Too old for days like that anymore.
Half joke, half serious. I hate the way they look but having a bunch of flies circling in the living room is gross. I bought a jumbo box of fly tape and I'm not looking back. Every single time either of the back doors open a bunch come in, and often the door gets left open too.
Why use fly tape when you could simply release a herd of frogs in your house to deal with the problem? A natural solution, with a frogs legs feast at the end.
Sounds like a solid Jeremy Clarkson plan. (For those of you that haven't watched Clarkson's Farm, I highly recommend it).
