This was the most boring Opening Ceremonies I can remember. I really enjoyed NBCs opening piece on the US parents of athletes, but the rest was kind of dumb.

I wonder how seriously the Olympic athletes took the advice. Like if we find out that the US got hacked because a 17-year-old snowboarder needed to keep her TikTok updated.
Went to Black Hat a couple years ago. They had a projector scrolling the personal information of people in attendance in one of the halls. It was wild.
Watching Lindsey Jacobellis win gold in the snowboard cross, after falling right at the end with a huge lead back in 2006, is some great redemption. Go Lindsey! The Great Wall themed course, the random ridgeline downhill / Super G course in the middle of no snow mountains, and the abandoned factory that has cooling towers that look like the Simpsons nuclear plant have all created some interesting visuals. Other than Nathan Chen's unbelievable skating performance, there haven't been a lot of electrifying moments yet.

Whoever wins the gold in hockey, will Chins buy/bribe over their citizenship so they can claim it? What an awful country. They just got the Olympics a few years ago and didn’t deserve it then.
