Agreed, Keaton was the best actor to play that role, hands down. My issue with Bale is it constantly looks and sounds like he's trying to be Batman through all three movies. The movies were ok, I'd watch them again, but I never got the whole 'Bale is God' bit with him.

I don't think "Bale is God" with the Batman Terrorism Trilogy.

However, in The Fighter and American Psycho....Bale is God.

Couldn't agree more, he was great in those films, as well as The Prestige, I think he's a fine actor. I just didn't think he was the end all be all in the Batman Trilogy. I didn't particularly like his take on either side of Bruce Wayne/Batman. It certainly resonated with fans, but having read the Frank Miller Dark Knight series -when it actually came out - yes, I'm that old - it just didn't resonate with me. I would love to have seen Keaton in that storyline, as the originals tended to be campy - which was on purpose. Overall, it's an ok franchise (too much camp, too many bad villains, too much throaty grrr nonsense) but I think Affleck will do ok. I thought he was fine in Daredevil. It wasn't a great movie, but he was certainly fine in it.

    Oh, this is just sweet.

I just found out that The Biebs and I were born in the same hospital. Same as my kid too. How you like me now?

That's all I'm saying. West is the bomb.

Wait, are you doing Adam West or Sean Connery?

Is anyone but me going to refer to Boston as Gotham City from now on? No? Ok then.

You know who I think should have been picked for Batman? Clive Owen. He could definitely play the playboy with the darker side. Also, the guy is just cool, in everything.

So far, in my opinion, Bale has been the best Batman by far, with Clooney in second, Keaton 3rd and the awful Kilmer 4th.

Clooney 2nd? He once referred to himself as the man who killed the Batman franchise. Even he didn't think he was good.

    Casting has been worse.

"I got a great idea for your Robin Hood movie, Ridley! Take the story of Robin Hood, throw it in the garbage disposal. Oh, and cast middle-aged actors to play the central roles for a story that takes place before Robin was in his late teens in the book. Oh, and Robin doesn't shoot arrows. No arrows. Maybe one or two. Oh, and vibrate the camera with a paint mixer during the battle scene. Oh, and spend $200 million on a movie with practically no sets. Perfect."

And to add the conversation, Batman & Robin was excruciating. Absolutely, positively unwatchable. It killed the Baby Jesus with a railsplitting maul. THERE WERE NIPS ON THE BATSUIT what more do you need to know?

Let's be honest. Michael Keaton as Batman has nothing, nothing on Michael Keaton in his finest role:

I thought Keaton had real great villain potential-- two movies, Pacific Heights and Desperate Measures he was sinister, awesome bad guys. However, both of those movies' script and direction sucked balls, so no dice.

I think I must be the only person in history that liked Desperate Measures. It wasn't that bad...

There were a lot of things wrong with that movie; Clooney wasn't really the issue.
