Still a few months away but I felt like kicking this bitch off early. The new trailer looks good. Im taking over under bets on how long they tease out John Snow's fate. If that is a dead Ghost next to him in the last shot of the trailer I am going to shit.
Everyone knows he isn't dead at this point, for HBO to even pretend otherwise is just stupid. Still looking forward to the premier though, doesn't look like anything will be leaked this year though, HBO isn't sending out copies at all.
I can't decide if I'm so excited about this I want to start theorizing and breaking down every story path, or if I need to prepare myself for more of the awful character arc/plot decisions they made throughout the last season. I'm not going full book fanboy hater, but if there's much more of the surprise you with a plot twist that makes no sense and has not set up it's going to ruin the show.
I sort of enjoyed the Jaime in the Riverlands parts in the books, so I am looking forward to that. I also hope they maintain the flavor of that section.
I'm in the middle of watching season 5 atm - knowing full well how it ends For season 6 Jon Snow is dead. The plot purpose is that the Night's Watch gets fucked in the ass by Night Walkers when he dies and it's "I told you so". By then Melisandre and Davos have legged it Ramsay Bolton will have the most fucked up death in the history of this show
I hope your being sarcastic with that Jon being dead prediction. The Nights Watch getting fucked I can see happening but Jon will be legging it with them after the red woman brings him back to life.
If there's one thing I've learned about George R.R. Martin, as much as I want to see Arya bash his head in or something he isn't about to give us that satisfaction.
Considering Joffrey I wouldn't be so sure. Regardless, the show writers need to start unfucking that story line, as in last season.
Jon is a fucking Worg. He's inside Ghost right now, just you watch. Sandor Clegane is coming back. He has to. You take take a character that awesome and complex and non-kill him the way they did. Most bullshit screwjob since Drogo's demise. Arya is going to run around like a Child Of The Damned screaming about being blind and kill one person near the end of the season. She's such a great character, and so is Jacken, but that was DULL last season. Are they going to force us to like Cersei this year? Obviously she's going to be broken about yet another dead kid, and you know she's going to turn Frankenmountain loose on that obnoxious hive of sack-wearing teenage fags. I said she was irredeemable and I stand by that. But can't WAIT to see that pale pussy Lancel get cut to pieces.
I will forever love Prince Doran. I feel like the Mel scene was mostly to punish all of us who have been lusting after her for so long.
Yeah it just projects an image others see. What sucks is the download I got had Russian subtitles. No real clue on what the red priest or dothraki were saying.
The Dothraki stuff was probably the best of the episode. Comic timing played to perfection with deadpan straightman skill. Probably helps that they may have phonetically memorized the lines and not known what they were saying. The whole, "The first time you see a beautiful woman naked.." bit was straight out of Monty Python's Spanish Inquisition sketch. As a whole, while I realize many major storylines were moved forward, in mostly satisfactory ways, it just felt like the episode was fucking {i]crowded[/i]. Too many storylines. And come on with drawing out the Jon Snow thing. Overall, I can't be disappointed because I recognize my expectations were unrealistically high.
