    I'm running the Peachtree Road Race on July 4 for the 17th straight year (in person this year!). It is is the largest 10K race in the world. They're doing a number of things this year, like splitting it into two races July 3 and 4, and spacing out the start waves. You will also have to either show your vaccination card, or be subject to screening at both the Expo/Packet pickup and the actual race. They're using Bio dogs for some of the screening, which is pretty cool.

    We had been hovering around 100-300 new cases a day when they re-opened town. Wednesday had 740 new cases. Glad I never quit wearing a mask.

    EDIT: Thursday had 804 new cases.

    The Delta variant is going to rip through unvaccinated populations. It's a shame, but what are we going to do at this point? Get yourself high quality KN94 or N95 masks. These actually offer protection to the person who wears them if worn correctly.
