Funny stuff from the Tennessee Titans. Schedule release day for NFL, and they asked people on Broadway to tell them the opponent based on just the logo. https://twitter.com/AdamSchefter/status/1656841088726908936?t=K6Cyu7VmVYi8PSLvvfvz3Q&s=19 Funny crossover, the Atlanta Falcons changed their Twitter handle to Red Stallions.
That video is hilarious. Downtown Nashville is that, exactly. I wonder if the same social media team that does the Preds is working for them.
Am I the only one watching Hard Knocks thinking the Jets might be scary? Top 3 defense, with Aaron Rodgers? I see NE being the bottom of the division, Miami regressing hard and Buffalo's defense struggling early.
The Jets went all-in this year thinking the same thing. They definitely have the talent. But every team, every offseason, thinks that their offseason additions will only improve them, and they will not regress in any way. I'm always wary of judging any team before they've played a couple of games. Sauce Gardner is amazing, but lots of cornerbacks have had amazing seasons that aren't replicated the next year.
Depends on their offensive line. It doesn't look very good and Rodgers definitely isn't used to that. Barring that or injuries, I think they could be contenders.
Fantasy draft is tonight at 5. Do we have a thread for that? I'm so far out of the loop, I vaguely recall seeing Justin Jefferson going #1. Any suggestions?
In both my leagues, Jefferson went first. Is your league a PPR league? Do you have flex or superflex? Are you picking D/ST and K positions? All things being equal, if I'm torn between 2 players, I choose the one with later BYE week. And, avoid lining up BYE weeks. I have found the "expert" advice on ESPN's site is below average. I like the info you get on the Sleeper website. Injuries, schedule alignment, and just luck are as important to how well you'll do as any managerial brilliance.
Watching Kelce frustrated on the sidelines was tough, but watching Mahomes hit other receivers in the hands and them just drop it? That's going to be an oof in the locker room. You know he's looking at the coaches saying, "you want to know why I just take off and run it myself? Watch this film."
Also, watching that Chiefs defense do little to be able to stop JARED GOFF, Chris Jones just kept texting his agent telling him "Yesterday's prices aren't today's prices."
Goff isn't terrible in a system, but he's not elite. I don't buy him being a terrible qb, but he has been put in some abysmal systems, especially by Jeff Fischer early in his career. He's the type who can win a SB a la Joe Flacco or Carson Wentz, not Mahomes or Brady. He will get you there, but can't keep you there.
One game in and I was gobsmacked. The SO had made a comment last week about the Lions which I completely blew off because well, Lions. They have my attention now.
I agree with all that. I was just pointing out that he's playing really well under the current Lions OC.
