I’m currently at a tiki bar at a pool in Key Largo. Hit it off with the bartender, and he’s experimenting with different drinks and giving them to me and the family for free. It’s been a long time since I’ve had something like this happen, and it’s awesome. I’m toasted. The drinks are awesome. This is awesome. All of you idiots are awesome.
Bartender Mike not withstanding, Key Largo is overrated. Key West is much better in every way. Also, it didn’t take very long for us to get sick of Jimmy Buffet songs.
Happy Friday! Today was also national donut day. I'm being all boring and eating semi healthy so no donuts for me. Berry bowls with yogurt and some cheerios have been my morning jam lately. I've had to drop caffeine and a couple vices. Party hard @Misanthropic ! You are an inspiration.
The last book was hilarious when they were talking about unlicensed merch. Like the t-shirt where the "o" in "Donut Holes" was the cat's asshole. Donut losing her shit over that was hilarious. I'd wear it.
Matt's coming to Columbus this summer as a guest for the Columbus Book Festival. I'm taking my daughter to go with me as I just got her started on book one. If you haven't already checked it out, r/DungeonCrawlerCarl has some really interesting merch you can find made by fans of the series that make the cat butthole look tame.
I think I've posted on here before about my ex-SIL. My brother was the heavy heavy income earner in their relationship and when they divorced, she took him to the cleaners. I don't have the exact amount but I know it was over $500k. She immediately was in a relationship with a guy who seemed to be nice, had a good job and honestly looked like a better fit for her than my brother was. Out of nowhere, she breaks it off with him and starts dating a heavily tattooed and gold wearing black dude. I don't care that he's black but he was in his late 20's and she was late 40's. Probably more of "a good time" and "not a long time" time of relationship. Whatevs. I didn't have any issues with his Ex so I was hoping that she'd take that money, buy a little house for cash and set up herself up. But I'm guessing she blew through it seeing as she just posted her Only Fans account to FB. Can't imagine living in a $1,700,000 home and two years later, you're posting your OnlyFans account on FB as a 48 year old lady.
Sounds like she's living her life to the fullest. In other mildly depressing news a girl I knew from high school died and it's one of those situations where you'll see 50 tribute post on facebook but no one will say how it happened. She was a year younger so she was only 38 or 39. I had a college buddy must have been 30 at the time, don't know if it was a car accident, or drugs, or suicide. I need to make my will and I think Im going to stipulate if I die before say 45 the cause of death, no matter how unseemly it may well be, will be posted on my facebook account.
I hate that shit, and I feel the same way. I don't think my cause of death will be anything embarrassing. I'm not on drugs, I don’t go to shady places I shouldn't be, anymore. If I die on the toilet, I won't be the first person in my family to have done so. I've seen a few older relatives of the decedants add the cause in their own post or a comment. One grandfather of a kid was like, "We lost Ben. It was a car wreck." I was grateful, because I didn't have to Google what happened to the high-school senior on prom night anymore. Just cut through the bullshit and stop the speculation.
I agree. I have one or two guys I knew growing up who died and years later, I still have no idea if it was suicide, overdose, or natural causes.
So a drunk hillbilly guy that knew her, maybe even dated her in high school, let everyone know it was cancer. Shocked me as she never mentioned it and had just posted a bunch a pictures of a get together her and her group of friends not more than a month ago and she looked fine.
Of the people I've known who have died before 45, the causes were: * Suicide * Hit by train as a pedestrian * Hit by car as a motorcyclist * Cancer * Aneurysm * Murder * Opiate overdose * Unknown (suspected drug overdose) * Unknown (suspected drug overdose) * Accident (dove into water with a hidden sandbar)
Holy shit dude. You might just be the grim reaper. I can count on one hand with fingers to spare of the friends I've known that passed before 45. And two of those were friends of friends that I've maybe met once or twice
We had a bad graduation year. Couple of people died in a boat accident crossing a river, and a couple people died in a boat accident on the ocean.
