Rant: it's extremely annoying that family who can't get off their asses to visit now want to get looped in on a trip we have planned to see other people. They are able to travel to that location to see us but not here? What a fucking pain in the ass. We are handling our own schedule and they can meet us where we will already be, I guess.
RANT: Woke up this morning with scratchy, burning eyes. Went to the bathroom mostly blind, looked in the mirror, and all my eyelashes had fallen out an my eyes were swollen, red, and burning. WTF. Been rinsing them in saline solution all day, but they’re still sore as hell and the eyelids burn to the touch. Dr appt in the AM.
RANT: My client that rented my trailer and excavator, put my trailer in the ditch, luckily i don't allow most people to transport the excavator he was just moving mud when he put my trailer in the ditch. It is a write off. It is my only trailer to move my equipment around.
RAVE: Didn't go blind. This morning a lot of the swelling and pain had gone down, and I sent an email to my GP with a pic of the before/after, and he said, "huh, weird... if it gets any worse or flairs up again, call me and I'll see you ASAP". So yeah, after a few eyelashes worked their way out of my eyeball, the bad itchiness stopped, and the burning pain and swelling are almost gone. Chalk it up to one of those "well that was fucking weird" moments in life that could be genuinely a bit scary. (Any infection or weird shit going on around your brain makes me very afraid). Thanks for all the DM's/Reps asking after me...
RANT: Just had a cop show up at my door and give me a ticket for something they didn't even witness, from 3 weeks ago, good luck trying to get peoples security footage from then. I was driving stopped at a stop sign with a cross walk in front of it, i started to pull out and stopped immediately when i noticed a jogger 60ish feet from the cross walk start to run out in front of me. She got all pissy saying i should pay attention, and started to record me, guess that was enough for a ticket. Now do i waste my time and try and fight a 400 dollar ticket that comes with 6 points. Or just pay it.
RAVE: My oldest graduates from college on Friday of this week. She earned a degree in Genomics and Computational Biology. While I understand all those words separately, when you combine them, I am not so sure. Her goal is to start a PHD program after a couple of gap years doing research in a lab. RANT: This type of work is typically NIH funded and we all know what the fucktard in charge of the government has done to that funding, so job prospects are out there but highly competitive. I have to move her out of her current apartment by May 25th and moving back home. I also have to get my son home from his freshman year in college this week as well. Actually, my daughter's school graduation is Thursday morning, then I will drive 6 hours total to get the boy home only to get up the next morning for the full graduation for the girl child. Busy couple of days. My wife is thrilled to have them both back in the house. I am not sold on it yet. I have really enjoyed the last year with no kids in the house.
Rant My father-in-law is going to die in the next couple days. I was very close to him, but he gave up hope after his wife died last summer and decided to smoke and drink himself to death. So my wife and I are losing three parents in nine months. It sucks to suck.
