It was a great one to watch. This the second year in a row that I didn't bet on the Derby. Mainly because of all the traveling we've been doing, and what we have coming up. I did some light research on the horses and made some pics, but decided not to enter them in the twinspires app. That horse wasn't on my radar to do anything, didn't even have him in the top 4. I used to do really well on the triple crown races.
Spur of the moment trip to sleep in a cow pasture and ride dirtbikes. I was able to find a spot to put the tent where there were no piles of cow shit, and the closest one is 8 feet away. Yes, there are cows on the track.
Yeah. BC is usually the most expensive in Canada, and here in SW Ontario we’re kind of lower to mid range in price.
Ah, so like how it was revealed that a shitload of accounts on X bitching to each other about US politics were Indian and Israeli.
Someone at NASCAR made the intelligent decision to move the race at Watkins Glen from August to this weekend. Anyone with half a brain knows the weather is unreliable here this time of year. In addition to lower attendance from what I hear ( someone said 400 campsites unsold as of Sunday ) it looks like things are already a shitshow with the ground being so soft. From what I see on social media, people are getting stuck just trying to get to their campsites, as are the tractors trying to tow them. And there’s more rain forecast this weekend. At this rate, the race will be the least entertaining thing this weekend.
The most entertaining thing about NASCAR is a wet race, especially on a road course, because they don’t have rain tires. Or rain footwear for pit crews. It’s a fucking shit hi when they run in the rain. And by that I mean it’s hilariously entertaining.
