Given his track record with The Orrville and Ted, I am cautiously optimistic from at least a technical standpoint that he'll be able to capture the general look/feel of the books. The real areas of concern will be things somewhat outside of his control like budgets and things like that.

I was incredibly impressed with what he pulled off with The Orville. That is the majority of the reason I'm optimistic.

My biggest concern is how well they can live-action the content. To your point, budget will be a huge factor in it.

My other main hope is that, obviously Princess Donut will have to be some level of animated/CGI, and I hope they can figure out a way to get Jeff Hays to do the voice. I can suspend disbelief for any of the other characters to be changed, but he IS the voice of Donut.

I mean, I loved Farscape, so I have a ton of latitude on how they do it. It just can't suck.

It's not DCC without him, full stop. I don't see how Matt lets it happen without that being a deal-breaker.

WTF is up with Netflix and their stupid ass decisions. So i log into netflix to watch something and see that somehow The Night Agent has a 3rd season coming. So i googled to see when The recruit season 3 is coming out. Well netflix cancelled season 3 of the recruit which out preformed The Night agent and that got a season 3 but the recruit didn't.

Season 2 of the Night Agent was pretty bad. I have season 3 downloaded but have felt zero urgency to watch it.

Yeah... I enjoyed season one a fair bit, but didn't even finish season two because it was so bad. Zero desire for season 3.

Yep... it's like they hired a whole new set of writers. Totally different vibe that just turned me away almost immediately.

I tend to give a series the benefit of the doubt for the first episode or 2, knowing it can take a bit to get into the proper stride, but yeah, they failed hard and fast. I bailed.
