    From an article on it:

"He traded selfies with one woman he pledged to worship like a “goddess,” telling her, “you turn me into a girl,” before asking if he should “put on leggings.”

? That just sounds transgender to me.

Of course— pile it the fuck on, and never ever stop. The mistake on Dallas back in ‘83 was they shot J.R. but didn’t finish the job, so he survived. No, you keep shooting these people until they go down and they stay down.

I'm in a semi rural area. It is the most populated area for miles. Rural health has been stretched and worsening for years. I read the results of care for a lot of disability claimaints who were rural in Alabama and I am experiencing it myself now. Cuts to Medicaid hit communities like mine the worst.

I sought care at an urgent care a couple days ago. There are 2 main ones on my radar. First one lets me check in before informing me that there is no state credentialed provider today, so any medications and care given would not be covered by insurance - of which I have 2 good forms. So I drove on down the road to the other.

I think that's the direction care is going. Pay out of pocket for a nurse, no doctors or NPs available. Facilities have a hard time attracting professional medical talent, period (they say dentists wives don't want to live in my town because there is limited shopping & posh upper class amenities), and with cuts to funding, I fear this is just the beginning.

Your healthcare system boggles my mind.

A friend of mine at work just got riffed, 4 days before a huge ($50k) medical payment was due. (His kid was recently born with bad trachea issues that caused problems with eating, etc, so for months had to tube feed his baby).

That payment is no longer covered by work, so he's expected to pay it out of pocket. Never mind future medical care.

How the fuck your medical coverage is tied to your job is mind boggling to me, the member of an obviously Socialist country.

Our system is deeply stupid, no argument there. That said, if you get fired, your insurance should continue for the rest of the month, and then there's an option called COBRA where you can takeover the premium payments your job was paying, and continue on the same insurance plan for up to a year. Those payments can definitely be a kick in the nards, but should be much more manageable than a sudden $50k payment.

He's dealing with a lawyer right now about it, but regardless, it was a hugely unexpected financial burden at a rough time in his life. Could be a bit of a tipping point.

I'm hoping that I can get him re-hired (or still hired?) with another role for him that is in my org, but while it's looking promising, there's no guarantee.

To say he's a bit stressed is an understatement.

That doesn't make sense because the coverage just needs to be active on the date of service. I think there are like 4 people worth talking to before bothering with a lawyer. Our system is broken and insurance doesn't want to pay, but that sounds like a billing issue more than a coverage issue.
