I've only done the big breast and then sliced it after cooking. Never done individual slices like you're talking about. Them being thin will really help because you can cook them much quicker (3 mins a side!) so they don't get dried out in the cooking process. Your blackened approach sounds great!
That being said, the braising approach will work for just about any thickness of protein. Low and slow in liquid will do wonders.
Yeah, visually, they looked the most like pork chops of average thickness. Not the thin 1/2" chops, or the 20s I get from our store, but in between those. I highly doubt they would've cooked that fast in an open skillet. I covered them because I wanted them to cook fast and hold those juices. The remaining ones may be dry as fuck when reheated, but they were good today. I'm just not a slow cooker, either. I don't own a smoker, my crock pot gets used about once a year. I grill, I skillet, and I'm good at those methods.
Have any of you guys ever sold a car on Ebay? I never have. I'm selling a van right now, and some guy just made an offer that sounds good. He sent a phone number to text my address to, but how can I tell if this is a scam?
It is always a red flag when a buyer or seller wants to take business off the platform with alternate payment or communication. Trust your gut. If it feels like a scam, it is a scam.
If he won't keep all communication within Ebay, then tell him he can move on to another vehicle. If that's what you want. He plays by your rules, and ebay rules, or he doesn't get to buy it. I, personally, don't think giving my phone number out, is too scary. I assume he just wants to come look at the car? What do his stats look like. His rating as a buyer, number of purchases, reviews, stuff like that? If you proceed outside of ebay, insist on cash and check every bill with that marker thingy. You can buy them where office supplies are sold.
As others have mentioned, keep it on ebay. My brother sold a nice camera and the guy had some slick line of why he couldn't run it through ebay and scammed him out of $800. When he went to ebay, they basically said they couldn't do anything
I know you'll make more from a private sale, but I've had very good experiences with givemethevin.com
I can't believe One Battle After Another won anything, that movie sucked balls. The ending was amazing though.
Anyone here watch Nile Red YouTube videos? That guy is insane. Making cinnamon oil from Styrofoam using some deadly chemicals and then using it to make cinnamon candy is crazy.
That's the thing, he doesn't have any stats. Also, he said that he would be paying with certified check, which I don't have a problem with, as long as it's good.
biggest red flag of them all. Bad certified cheques can be reversed up to 6 weeks later. A bank cannot tell you if a certified cheque is good unless it was made at the bank you went to. Run away.
how much are we talking about here? I'd say get cash, or go to the bank with him and watch him get the cashier's or certified cheque. Bad certified cheques are the biggest scam going.
Yep, what @Nettdata said. This is full of red flags. I wouldn't proceed unless it was in person, at a bank, with cash that the bank says is good. The last boat I bought went that way. The dude was hesitant to take cash without it being verified, so we went straight to his bank to have them check it, deposit it, and notarize the title. I had no problem taking the transaction his bank to finish.
Our school district still has two snow days remaining and I hoped maybe we’d use one today. But noooo, we’re on a two hour delay. Which I hate because if I’m awake, let’s get this day going. Instead I have to wait around and then my whole day is out of whack. Not that I planned on partying or anything today. Fact is, it’s the first St. Patrick’s Day I won’t be playing out somewhere since 2020. Still, I’ll take a snow day anytime. Oh well, what are you guys doing for St Paddy’s Day, if anything?
This will be the first year since 2010 ( and 2020 of course) that we won’t be hosting a neighborhood St Patrick’s day party, due to some minor health issues. I may go to a local bar for some corned beef and cabbage and a beer. That’s about it.
I hope things work out okay for ya. We used to put in a big party for SPD until one year a whole lot of people who RSVP’d they’d come, didn’t. We were waiting around, surrounded by food and drink and only a couple people showed up. I got on the phone and called some of them, so a few more showed up. But after that I said we were done. Tonight it’s just the wife and I, and she’ll make a Reuben soup that’s pretty yummy.
