I'm sure any devs on the board see absolutely NOTHING wrong with this: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/brit...nges-local-government-east-kootenay-9.7113102
I'm guessing devs will just respond by saying "yeah, we're not expanding the definition of time zones. These towns can just say they're operating on whichever existing time zone matches their bullshit, even if it's a few hundred miles away."
My buddy, the antichrist, suggested that one of them do a time zone offset of 17 minutes, and operate an international airport.
Just wait until there's a permanent base on the moon with its own time zone. Are you excited to code lorentz transformations into your datetime library?
Call me when I can drag my Airstream to the moon and fish. I'm so glad that in this time of AI and other bullshit that I'm SOOOO close to retirement. Let other people smarter than me deal with this horseshit.
I don't buy my salad materials from my butcher. Just sayin. And I'll have you know I really like to bbq my salads too.
But no German wilted salads, please. My mom used to try to pass off limp romaine as a freshly made wilted salad. She had a few moments of quiet, surprised introspection when on my last visit I announced that wilted salads are gross and I will never again. My parents were stubborn bearers of the word "No" so I learned early on to not complain or ask more than once, but now I'm freeeee---- Can't stop me now!
Made the best shepherd's pie of my life today. Pork, beef, lamb, venison... slowly caramelized and browned meat in read wine, chicken and beef stock, W sauce, red wine vinegar... then lots of veggies, garlic, dry mustard, nutmeg, cloves, and freshly home grown bay and rosemary... All while getting a bit buzzed on some red wine while the dog got muddy in the back yard. And today was the official "thank god F1 is back again" kickoff qualifying in Aussieland. Today was a good day. Except for having an insanely muddy dog. But oh well.
My mom tends to buy insanely expensive and high quality produce only to not use it fast enough and then wanting to throw it away. I keep explaining to her that it's not bad yet, it's just more for cooking with than being the centrepiece of a fine dining experience. It's amazing what a bit of a cold water soak and a salad spinner can do to some old veggies.
I’ve got a colonoscopy on Monday morning which means I have to fast tomorrow. Therefore I broke training and made a killer spaghetti sauce, had some actual Italian bread with it ( the first white bread in over six months ) along with a couple Lime Rickeys and a couple glasses of a local wine that I love. I would have enjoyed more of a buzz than achieved but decided to stop while I was ahead. We’ve been watching music videos on YouTube all evening. My old band is pretty busy right now and while I don’t miss it, I kinda do. But only a little; I spent the day working outside without having to keep looking at the clock and it was great. If things what retirement is gonna be like, its gonna be awesome.
