Good gravy, is it Friday again already? Must be, because @Misanthropic is getting blitzed in the fog under the glow of light show and my kid had a bunch of stuff due for school today. Let me tell you about a new purchase of mine that has been getting a lot of exercise this week. The cold foam maker. It's actually an all in one steamer/frother. There are probably superior models but this one is my entry point and it seems to be working. I make coffee drinks with it but also just add things like agave, cinnamon, raspberry or lemon extract, and coco powder for flavoring - mostly for the kiddo. It all seems very fancy. We've gone through half a gallon of milk since yesterday morning. My stomach hurts and I'm gassy. Happy Friday!
I’ve had double portions of french onion soup and many large winter ales tonight. (finishing up a work trip in Montreal). I, too, am gassy.

I’m making gator bites for a Mardi Gras party tonight. I made a few last night as a test and they came out great. Soaking in buttermilk for at least a day appears to be key. Then tomorrow through Monday we have a blizzard coming through. I’m not thrilled about that.
I had gator once, it wasn’t bad. Tough but chicken-like. what I don’t like is how a lot of southern fried foods (catfish, gator, whatever) use the grittiest breading ever. Not my style.
Turning 42 later this week. just picked up my first pair of bifocals. Over 20 years ago I joined a message board because some guy wrote a (probably bullshit) story about absinthe. We’re old.
I do feel a bit better about it because I've been told by many people that I don't look anywhere near that old. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
