Merry Christmas Idiots here and abroad!

Our Christmas is almost the polar opposite of our Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the BIG holiday at our house where we somehow cram 25 people into 3 rooms and a 7 course feast is provided by one handsome man. Christmas, on the other hand is just the four of us and maybe my inlaws, but even that isn't guaranteed. There will still be a feast, of course, because my Italian heritage will not physically allow me to not cook food in what normal people call "reasonable" servings, but shut up, it's the holidays, so mangia, MANGIA!

It's also getting close to the end of Santa Claus being real as our youngest has already started asking some questions, but at least for this year she's either still a believer, or she's been putting on one hell of a convincing act.

All I got from this post was "Mangina."

We just got back from the neighbors Christmas Eve party. I'm rosy wined and dined. Nett, HE MADE YOUR LAMB LOLLIPOPS. I GOT TO EAT IT. IT WAS GOOD

If she comes right out and asks if Santa’s real, you may be able to buy yourself a year or two by responding, “Do you honestly think we’d buy all of this stuff for you?”

    It worked for my parents.

Merry Christmas all! Pretty easy flight to LA. Got to hang with the grandson for the day and coming from someone who never had kids, it is freaking weird to hear the words "Papa, let's go play" from a 2.5.y/o. Going to hang tomorrow and then the aquarium on Saturday. Skipping the poopy diapers, temper tantrums and right to the spoiling phase is a win IMO

So my 12 year old daughter has been turning to google a lot of lately to find out stuff she doesn't know. Why does this happen? When did that happen? etc... Well she was watching the Jim Carry Grinch movie and the scene where the adults were putting all the keys in the bowls, she asked why are they putting all the keys in the bowls? Her mom said "cause if you are going to drink you put the keys in the bowl so you don't drive". She is like that doesn't sound right, so she went to google and was like "i like moms answer better, i didn't need to know that"

You missed the perfect opportunity to then say "And that is how I met your mother."

Meanwhile today we're having the most insane freezing rain I can remember in a long time.

We're supposed to go over to my sister's for dinner tonight but I'm not sure how we'd even slide down our driveway to get into the car. At this rate I'm looking at potential tree damage.

    Merry Fucking XMas!

We’re expecting 4 days of shitty weather, starting with maybe up to a foot of snow, then off and on freezing rain/snow through Monday. I’m not a Florida guy, but every year this convinces me I could do the January through March snowbird routine.

Yeah, it was cancelled and instead I'm playing video games and getting hammered/wired on bailey's and coffee.

    I'm OK with that.

I am quite happy to just stay inside and cook/eat/game while the weather outside is frightful.

Zero need to go any where for any thing.
