Yeah. This weekend is the big XMas Tree Drags and a bunch of YT celebs are involved, so Biff and the family were heading there to enjoy the weekend. Absolutely brutal hit. Biffle, his wife, son, daughter, and FaceBook Craig were all on board. That'll be a really hard hit for the whole Cleetus crew.
It is, so horrible. By all accounts, Biffle was a good and generous dude. Sounds like engine trouble, also in instrument weather. I haven't had time to read much about it, maybe an impossible turn, trying to get back? I have an interest in general aviation. I'd do a lot more if I had money. I don't like flying, but I recognize it is a necessity, sometimes. My hatred for people makes me want to do my flying in little planes, with no other people. If I were a really wealthy man, my plane would be the Cirrus SF50. A jet with a parachute? Yeah! If I were only kinda rich, my plane would probably be some light sport, also with a parachute. I am neither, so I don't fly much at all.
The XMas Tree Drags start streaming on FRDM+ at 4pm Eastern (in about 15 mins). I'm tuning in because I have no doubt that there will be some sort of tribute or something done for the lost souls. It's gotta be tough going ahead with such a large event with just a shit-ton of publicity around Biff's death. I know that my Insta feed is now 95% "RIP Biff" from a ton of channels I've never even heard of. I'm kind of surprised that it hit the main stream media as much as it did... even my mom knew about it.
