Sounds like he was assaulted outside his hotel room, was admitted to the hospital, was released, developed breathing issues that was then diagnosed as walking pneumonia.
I think there’s some chronic drug use issues, which may play in to why he was assaulted…but people are saying the walking pneumonia may have been around way longer.
Yeah, sounds like... I was just trying to say that he didn't get beaten to death. The assault might have contributed over time, but it wasn't like he was pummelled to death.
the weird thing is, he was discharged from the hospital, then arrested for trying to get back in the hospital because he didn’t want to leave, because he swore he wasn’t healthy. There's more than one hospital in the SLC area, not sure why he demanded to go back to the same one.

Something that has bugged me for years. In Training Day, when they set up their cover story for taxing Roger, they take a lot of care to make sure the forensics line up. Alonzo shifts to the doorway to make sure “Hoyt’s” shotgun blast comes from the right angle, they make sure the two bullets “Roger” fired come from where his hand would be, etc. They clearly expect the shooting to be investigated. How the fuck do they plan to explain that they had time to dig up his floor in the two minutes between entry and ambo’s arriving?

It’s not a “smart” movie. It’s one of THE most entertaining films ever made, but just the ludicrous coincidences on their own make the film look so dumb at times.
