Pelosi represented her district well, whether I agreed or disagreed with her. She also has always been the hardest and disciplined representative I have ever heard of. No one in the know has ever questioned her work ethic.
Pelosi made her self rich off the backs of the taxpayers while in office. She's also a key reason why we ended up with Kamala Harris as the nominee. That cunt can rot in Hell.

After a crushing win on election day, Senate Democrats have decided to cave on the shutdown in exchange for literally nothing. Democrats will spend years wondering if they lost in 2024 because of this issue, or that issue, but never realize it's because people don't respect gutless fucking cowards. Jesus Christ, what was the point? Why vote for a Democrat when I can vote for a bag of wet oatmeal instead, and save the tax dollars on a Congressional salary?
And not even in the House. Just the Senate. Senate can even give vulnerable Senators permission to vote for it, knowing Johnson will never bring it up for a vote in the House and expose his caucus to midterm anger.
I know this looks really bad, but in a way, isn't it a good thing? Health insurance premiums are going to shoot up next year, and the shitty Dems who acquiesced will be primaried... That's what's going to happen, right? So did some big-money donor threaten to pull funds if the Dems didn't fold?
Their own gamesmanship fucked them. If they hadn't delayed because of the cost of Biden's bill, this wouldn't have been an issue. But they wrongly assumed Trump was going to lose.
Given that people have been shitting on Pelosi lately, I'd like to point out that Schumer is what you get when you don't have a Pelosi in control of the caucus.
Him, plus any and all of the spineless jellyfish who still prop him up as if he isn’t a completely flaccid doorstop at this point.
There is another funding bill due at the end of January 2026 about 70 days away. The Democrats have put the Heathcare squarely on the Republicans now and a soon date that they could shut down the government again and point to whom is not fixing Healthcare. I am with others on not giving in to the Republicans, but perhaps all is not lost.
A comparison I've read for the caving is the Repubs demanding the Dems give them a kidney or they torture a child. Basically, a shit load of Goverment workers including military and presumably USPS are getting effed in the A on pay due to the shutdown and bills/rent/groceries need be paying. Them caving sucks, but I can see the rationale if this was the case. Not getting any concessions is the useless stupid fuck part.
This release is almost more damaging to the NYT than to Trump. I think we were all pretty confident that Trump was a rapist who at minimum knew what Epstein was up to before this. But apparently the NYT had reporters who had sources on this shit ten years ago and just... published nonsense about Hillary Clinton's emails instead? Utterly damning.
I don’t understand. Everything is great and gas is $3.19 where I am which is actually under $2.00 and my groceries are so fucking cheap because we’re winning and the reason I’m scraping by right now and resorting to a budgeting app is because Biden rigged the 2020 election.
Nice of Congress to release the Epstein files only after they got brutally embarrassed during the shutdown.
I feel like we're not talking enough about the fact that the state of Louisiana illegally denied representation to the state of Arizona. Representation to which it is Constitutionally entitled. Shutdowns happen only when there are very important issues before a very narrowly divided Congress. Johnson's idea that Arizona's rep doesn't get sworn in until after the issue is settled is saying that Arizona does not get to fully participate in resolving these very important and narrowly divided issues. It's so insanely unconstitutional it's not funny.
